I can't take a decent pic for shit. He'll probably say "All you need is good light and the correct camera settings". LOL........and when guys say that I work magic on a milling machine or lathe, all I can think of is "all you have to do is have the correct speeds and feeds, along with good jigs and set-ups".   I guess it's all in what you have experience with.

So you're saying I can't replicate your results with my shops 20 year old out-of-squre drill press, a vise and some vice grips?

And we've got a perfectly good mill sitting right next to it that the owner won't get someone out to get it running

The matte side of a posterboard works well as a backdrop.

A black felt backdrop works well too.

Does anyone have a local gun store that has a Surefire SOCOM RC in stock? I have been looking everywhere in MI and have not had any luck yet. I really want to cancel my AU order... but not until I find another one.

AU FB messaged me after I spammed one of their posts last night (at 2300 ). We got into a convo about items that are/are not in stock and he said to email Daneil ar [email protected]. Apparently that guy runs the shop and "should" be able to get you some help if phones or email is not.

Even after our convo, they still don't seem to understand they have a problem.

Damn, why does everyone always broomhandle their foregrip? This is a real question btw. For the life of me I can't figure it out.

Edit: It's the pressure switch, isn't it?

Damn, why does everyone always broomhandle their foregrip? This is a real question btw. For the life of me I can't figure it out.

Cuz that's what works for them.

Edit: Caught you pre-edit. Yes, that too.

I got you. Just to make sure I have the right part, you're talking about what is directly behind the front sight base/gas block? If that is it then IM me your address and I'll get it out within the next day or so.

Well yeah, I mean I figured that some people would prefer it over the "C-clamp" method, or whatever the hell they call it, but nearly everyone I see with a vertical foregrip broomhandles it. I just thought it was strange, as I find that it feels so awkward whenever I try it. Then I thought of the pressure switch on the foregrips, but you can always swap out the pressure switch for a button, or find another spot for said pressure switch.

I just thought they might be taught that grip for a specific reason. I still see guys using them on mod 0 grips without the pressure switch.

Anyway, when I say "C-clamp" I mean this. And I like the record to state that I have never watched a Chris Costa video in my life, lol. Let it be noted. Seriously though, this is just the way I naturally pick up a weapon.

I was going to remove the red eye, but in this case I thought I'd leave it in, lol.

Damnit,...I hate that picture. Every time I see it I want to run out and immediately buy a NT4. That plate carrier camo he's rocking is pretty badass too, which isn't helping. Now I gotta save it and use it as my damn wallpaper, lol. See what you've done? I was planning on a scope and an Ops Inc 12th for my SPR build.

I should just sign up for the damn Navy like I was going to out of high school. I hear they pay you to use that stuff if you manage to get into a certain secretive unit they never always talk about on the news. Still got a year left before I hit the SEAL age limit! Two or maybe even three with an exemption.

I swear though, in an alternate universe where I did actually try out, I guarantee I would have been grilled so many times for accidentally yelling out; "Hooyah, Instructor Patstone....awwe SHIT. How many this time?".

I actually just typed up a story about me being a dumbass, but then I realized this was the internet, lol.

Why would Raptors be used in place of PRI GB's when shooting suppressed?  Anyone have experience shooting with this configuration?

RC is correct.
Also, from what I've heard there isn't really any sound reduction difference in the two just different welding process I believe.

I'm not going to speak for him. He is very capable and can give much more insight than I can, which is exactly what you asked for. The reason I said to PM him is that given yesterday's derailment and the likelihood of this thread adding another page or 2 before day's end, he may not see your comment and a PM would more than likely ensure a quicker response.

But hey, you're welcome.

for those that have atpial-c's, I had a question.

For one I know the DBAL-A3's originally came with no adjusters for the illuminators and could not be focused, but now they are coming with both options.

Are the atpial-c's still non adjustable with staked illuminators?

Yes.  IIRC, that's how they get the illuminator civi safe.  The focus is epoxied.

I have a new production one (less than month old) and its fixed, just as the one that was a year or so old that I had.

Best I can tell, internally.  The notched housing that you would grip to turn is fused to the housing.
