But you go out of your way to post your pictures in threads where they don't belong for no explainable reason?

Logic.

"Hey hey everyone! I know there's 1000 pages over 3 years here discussing a very specific topic! But I thought you'd all love to take a break and check out my awesome random pistol! It's brown! Can I get a high five?"

Even navy seal is confused.

CQBR thread dun gone full pertata again.

@pezboytate Could be. Seems like it would be a giant pain in the arse for CRANE to send DD the receiver, bbl, CH,BCG, gas tube, block etc etc for assembly but it is possible. Also has me wondering if there would be any way to track this kind of info down through the FOIA?

For small things like that probably not. If there are DD uppers issued, there would be a contract for it I suppose.

Just stop. I like US Military issued weapons and like the RIS II. I don't post my non clones in this thread though unless there is something USGI relevant/education about it. There are plenty of other picture threads to show off your AR in. Patriot Brown, painted, pistol, etc..

You know, at first I kinda felt bad for you since so many people went over the top about you posting a non-clone. Now you're just being retarded. Your AR doesn't belong in a clone thread - sorry. Attacking people who enjoy building clones isn't going to change that. Oddly, if you hate clone builders and clones so much, why did you post a thread titled "Mk18 Clone 300 BLK" in another section? Your AR might be many things, but a clone it ain't. You calling it a clone is about like someone posting a picture of a Honda in a Ferrari enthusiast thread and saying, "This is my Ferrari... but I built it MY way!"

They literally thought people would pay it... He gave an interview after the fact and said he did not realize so many people were going to bitch about the policy change.

Basically it was costing them too much to host everyones pictures.

The fact that early Mk18s used repurposed M16A1 lowers is why I used an A1 lower on mine along with a LMT 10.5" upper. BTW, it does have a real M16 selector (modified) installed.

Pretty off topic but since its somewhat relevant to the thread, to the guys running KAK braces, what buffer tube/buffer/and spring are you guys running? In a thread I saw this A.M. some guy said the KAK tube is shorter than a mil-spec tube. Was planning on going the KAK route but not if its going to fuck with reliability

When I was running one, I think it was just a standard PSA buffer and spring. The tube was the "Super Sig" (I believe that was the name). Never had any relaibility issues and had ran several hundred through it before I got it SBR'd.

When I read his post I was just worried the carrier/buffer might not get their full rearward stroke as intended. But since dude sounds like he's mistaken, KAK tube and brace with my Colt H2 and Colt spring it shall be.

holy fucking shit i didn't want to respond because you would keep saying the same things over and over and still not get it BUT-

this thread does not allow for 'doing your own damn thing.' Don't post a picture of your own homemade hamburger in a tea and biscuits thread- then bitch at anyone who asks why you posted a fucking hamburger. it makes you look stupid. So stupid in fact that im making myself look stupid by typing a response to you because i just couldn't contain myself.

why do we continue argue with people like this? You guys need to simply delete or block his account the moment you see they post a rifle that doesn't even remotely come close to a good faith attempt accompanied with a side of shit-talking.

Yeah, I'm running a Colt H buffer and Colt carbine spring with a KAK tube and my DD Mk18 upper ATM. Completely reliable. Just a heads up, though: If you have a .070 GP and you're shooting unsuppressed, the H2 buffer might be a little on the heavy side for anything other than 5.56. The H runs just about anything from Wolf to M193. The only thing I think it probably wouldn't run is Tula (never tried it, but I'm pretty sure it'd be too underpowered).

Thanks for the info brother. I shoot 5.56 and brass cased .223 (usually federal) so ill see if the .223 locks back with the H2 next time I go out.

Ive had bad luck with Tula creating issues in the past so I don't even mess with steel case anymore.  Id rather shoot less than deal with the cons it brings. Still have like 40 rounds of it left for the apocalypse tho.

Sure, no problem. Just FYI, mine runs Wolf .223 55gr unsuppressed with absolutely zero issues using an H. I grabbed several cases from Brownells when it was on sale; $195.00 per 1000 delivered was too tempting to pass up :\.

For now I'm doing the opposite - saving my brass cased .223 and M193 for the hordes, lol.

Running a PSA pistol lower, buffer tube, etc on my 10.5 LMT with no issues.PSA says standard carbine buffer, no idea on the spring.  Not sure if that extra .2 would be making a difference or what size gas port my upper has. I have somewhere around a 1000 rounds through it so far, not easy rounds either.

Running the SB M4 brace, if that matters. Slipped onto the tube, no movement once it was pressed on a bit. It's not a SBR with a stock, but it's close. Minus the adjustment that is.
