Building a heavy barrel 6.5 Grendel upper with a nice 20-in barrel. Looking for recommendations for what type handguard I should get if I'm going to almost always be shooting off of biPod or a bag?
Just any favorite free float mlok handguard or should I be looking for some particular characteristics for this application? |

Decide what mounts you'll use for bipod It's either gonna m-lok... and now you have ARCA as a choice if you're gonna be using a tripod, or high-end bipod Another thing to consider for large bore builds in the AR10 family. Buy the upper and handguard from the same mfr for the best fit along the upper pic rail. . |

I'm getting ready to send a 20" Shilen barrel off to be threaded and finish the build with a BCM QRF rifle length. If I wasn't using that HG, I'd be going with one from Centurion. |
