What’s the best one? I currently have the Shockwave blade 2.0 and I like it but I’m open to other options. I am NOT interested in any of the soft rubber ones with a strap. |

I always thought the DoubleStar Arms Stromgarm was intriguing but it’s been discontinued. Are the MagPul braces back? They are on the website but retail sites still list them as discontinued. |

The Tailhook 2 is the best of all, IMO. I recently acquired an SB PDW style brace that I am excited to try. |

I prefer the Tailhook Mod 1 brace by Gear Head Works. It’s all aluminum, short and light, and deploys quickly without screwing around with straps. When opened it forms a solid shelf for the forearm which helps support the pistol well. The Mod 2 is not the minimal type I prefer, it’s bulkier and heavier. The price of the Mod 1 has recently skyrocketed BTW, apparently demand is high. Note that it requires the smaller diameter buffer tube, or one with a reduced diameter end.  |

I have two Tailhook Mod 2's and two Tailhook Mod 1's (one is a Mod 1c). The answer to which is best is "yes".  Semi-tempted to try the Mod 2c (a shortened tailhook), but I'm not sure if I want to mess around with unusual buffers. https://gearheadworks.com/product/mod-2c/  |

The QD slot doesn't bother me much. It still has an Mlok Slot/Sling Loop you can use. |
