So I have a question. Looked at a friends AR yesterday.
The Slick Side receiver is marked, LM, so it's a contract replacement upper from what I understand. Upper and lower are small pin, I believe. Can't see who made the barrel. The upper profile is like the XM177E2. It is the short carbine, 16 inch, with a moderator permanently on it. The Moderator looks just like the earlier ones. Same length, and no gernade ring. Has the round 6 hole SPI hand guards on it. Front sight base has no flash marks on it. They weren't milled off, but look like they were belt sanded off. I looked at the SP1 pics. the Front sight base looks exactally like the early one, it's rounded like it should be. Also no hole under the front sight. Front sling swivel has a roll pin. The receiver looks more like an A2 as it has the full fence. Oh it is marked Rock Island Arms. With the crest on the 1 side. Had the 2 position stock buffer tube, and the Colt stock. Condition is VG. Barrel is super, little rust on the ejection port door, and on the round hand guard cap. Any idea what it's worth? or is it just junk ? Thanks in advance |

The black SGW Olympic Arms A1 carbine with an LM A1 upper. It has a 16" barrel marked "5.56" forward of the FSB and "SS" near the breech end. It has a 4 pos extension tube with a plastic stock, 6 hole handguards(not colt) which have been modified to mount a Cobray 37mm. it has a Hogue pistol grip, rapidex sight knob, and an A2 port door. The BCG is from a Colt SP1. The grey Colt SP1 lower is SN SP483XX. It has a 4 pos tube with a "B" marked aluminum stock and a Hogue grip. The purple Sendra A1 lower has a 4 pos tube with a "M&A" marked LE plastic stock. |

Today I had a friend give me a M16 Colt marked upper (602 style I believe). 20 inch barrel is marked CMPC with an original Improved 3 prong (the second style) flash suppressor on it. The front sight block doesn't have any flashing on it. With a complete set of original green / brown furniture (Pistol grip, buttstock and handguards). (Not for sale)
I just want to get an idea what it is worth (I want to get him a christmas present). 
Sarge PS: I also stopped at the 7-Eleven today and bought some Power Ball tickets  .

Sarge pics below. looks like a type B stock with 601 grip and handguards. handguards have a chipped tooth and a pretty large crack. that will impact the value significantly. i would say in this state with the wear and damage, you're looking at $400 to $600. auction may go much higher. upper is a 604 w/ C MP C barrel and smooth forge front sight base. the gas tube is a later one. recent uppers in this condition have sold for $400-$500.

I recently saw a Colt marked ARMS carry handle mount go for $99 on ebay!  This kind of blew my mind - can someone tell me if this is the approx. value? I have one but it's a weaver style IIRC, which would make it earlier than the pictinny one I saw right? I JUST put it away the other day, so will have to dig for pics, but I'd like to know what they are going for, and if anyone can tell me if they were used other than for the Delta HBAR. Thanks guys.
ETA - the one in the auction I saw is identical to mine - Arms model M16A1A2 - anyone know anything about these like when did they start making them? |

Found a Colt SP1 looks all original,triangle handguards,BCG looks in very good shape.Serial number is 07996,which I think makes it a 1967?? Only barrel markings I could make out seemed to be S 12.
Didn't take any pics and I ''think'' this is the original owner. What is it's approximate value do y'all think?? |

I picked up this A2 upper over the weekend. Guy told me it was from a military shooting team. Barrel is fullly floated and very large diameter under the handguards. FSB is held on with allen screws. Front sight post is very thin. Rear sight seems to have a lens built into it. Carrier is marked FN. The barrel is marked PWSP 01/02. What do I have? Whats it worth?

Came across this receiver and am wondering what it is worth.
Slab sided Colt (it has the stamps) and has a small hole front lug. The ejection port/dust cover hasn't been installed and there is no indication that it has ever been assembled. Should bring a minimum of $100 pretty quick today, like in minutes IMO. Auction setting probably a little more. No authentic door is the killer as a very nice A-1 door is an easy $50 shipped. making a decent condition SP-1 complete upper an easy $150. Colt isn't making any more of them but current production splintered A forge is available for $130 NIW. Also missing the correct door. A little salesmanship will bring more coins. |

I have a Colt Match Target Lightweight that is in excellant condition. It has the sear block, and no bayonet lug. The stock has been replaced with a DPMS M4 stock.
The rifle looks like it's only fired very few rounds, I bought it used, so I can't confirm the round count. I have a local person interested in purchasing it. It also has the factory Colt 9 round magazine. What doe's the hive value it at?

Values of ANY AR15 are really up in the air as stated. Being a Colt, likely $1200 - 1500 right now. If he's a good friend I'd make him a deal - if he's a dick, hold onto it until it goes up another $1K. Things are already getting really silly.  Did you see that guy in NY with a retro for sale for $5000? It's going to get as bad or worse than it was before the last ban in '94. If they ban CURRENT guns and magazines, it's really going to get weird.

My serial number group doe's not show on the above link. My Colt's serial number is: CSL002XXX, the only thing close on that list are SL numbers. Do I change my number to SL002XXX instead of CSL002XXX? If so, per the link above, any number below SL27246 is preban. I'm lost! Please send help.

I just don't understand why it has a flash hider? I bought it from a local dealer that had it on consignment. He knew the original owner, and stated that the owner only changed the stock. Oh well, it'll be a pre-pre ban in a month or two. Any idea on the value? I also have the box, but the serisl number is missing from the end tab. |

I have a Colt Match Target Lightweight that is in excellent condition. It has the sear block, and no bayonet lug. The stock has been replaced with a DPMS M4 stock. Colt's customer service told me last year that it was built in 1995, I asked him if it was built in 95 why doe's it have the sear block. He said some some 1995 models still have the sear block. What I didn't ask him was why doe's it have the small front pin hole, but it uses a pin with a screw on the left side, and it doesn't have a weep hole. Also it has a bayonet lug that appears to be original. Did he give me the correct build date? Is the rifle pre or post ban?
