Hi
Anyone have a1.93” height mount on an aimpoint
Micro?
Thoughts?
Compared to 1/3 or absolute?
Benefits?
Cons?

Ty!

I love it. Extremely natural head positioning. Still can get cheekweld, (cheek just isn't squished down on the stock anymore). Faster acquisition of the dot. Nice to have if you have 12 o'clock mounted lasers or other accessories.

Only cons are there aren't many 1.93 height mounts and can be spendy. I like them so much I have 2 aimpoints and a 1-6x in Geissele 1.93 height mounts.

I have a CompM5 on a Geissele 1.93". Frickin love it.

I don't run NV, but the ergonomics of it is noticeable to me. Of course you can't cowitness thru it, but that doesn't really matter to me. And I can just barely see the X300U in the bottom 2% of the window.

I just upgraded from lower 1/3 to 1.93” and I’m liking it so far. It’ll take a little to get used to, but that won’t take long.

I think you’ll love it. I now run all of my dots high. Great for NV and day shooting.

I even run the high AR mount on my Holosun 503 on my AK’s ultimak. It’s fucking WAY better thank scrunching down on the stock and I hate absolute cowitness. It’s a red dot that’s small as it is. Why would I want to further cloud the site just so I can see irons I’ll probably never have to use?!

great point
I moved away from fixed a2 post or any irons at all...just to your point
Lighter free front end to run light
Treat my t2 right and should never be any issues
I know some swat guys prefer absolute for cqb house room stuff , but that’s not me and they’re deploying w hkmp5’s still
Thnx
