My 5.56 on the left and my .22 on the right.
Just for the .22 upper a couple days ago and I like it a lot so far. Still needs a rear sight though

Just build this yesterday, my BDM mags didn't came in yet so I just use regular mag for pic.

Build:
Taccom bolt
Taccom 4" barrel
Taccom pressure plug
Spike 7" Sar Rail
Spike charging handle
Valtor MUR-1A upper
LMT defender 2000 lower (factory SBR)
Magpul rvg
Bushnell red dot

1st pic with 22lr sparrow
I would like the suppressor to show at least 1 inch sticking out but it's only just a little.
Maybe try to find like a 6" rail if they even make one.

2nd pic with ti-rant 45
I like how the suppressor stick out on this one.

Silencerco makes an adapter that will allow the suppressor to stick out a bit more:

I thought the barrel's on 22's go in about an inch and a half. Wouldn't that put your 15" handguard almost out to the muzzle break?

Boonie packer makes a drop in BHO that works with S&W mags. I have this set up on my FDE aero lower with the punisher emblem, pictured above.  It uses a CMMG complete upper, The BHO works and the mags are easier to load

I don't think I've contributed to this thread yet.
Here's some of my "quiet" collection.  The one of the bottom is my .22lr setup.  It's based on a Spikes ST-22 upper with a 5.5" lothar walther barrel and a Silencerco Sparrow under a Daniel Defense rail.  It's a freaking bullet hose!  It's very accurate and an absolute joy to run hard.

My TACCOM upper, it's freakishly lightweight even w/ the scope aboard.  The components are listed below.

*TACCOM ULW upper with reliability kit
*CMMG Bravo SS kit
*MI Gen 2 SS 15" free-float tube (had it shipped to Tim at TACCOM to install on my upper before it shipped)
*CMMG 22 charging handle
*Gen 2 MBUS
*DD 1 o'clock offset mount for red dot sight
*PA MD-07 micro dot (inbound via USPS) to put on the DD
*Weaver 2.5-10x50 KASPA "tactical" scope (mil-dot illuminated reticle, 110.5 MOA elevation range) I scored off the EE, wound up w/ $85 in it
*LaRue LT-745 20 MOA mount, another EE score

After bore-sighting the scope I still have roughly 70 MOA of internal elevation adjustment remaining in addition to the ~17.5 MOA in the reticle (or ~70 MOA if used at 2.5x) so I should be able to reach out MUCH further than my 10/22 w/ Simmons scope.

I just want to double check- with the boonie s&w mag adapter in, you can still use black dog and cmmg mags correct?

No, as they will be too big. It's easy to pop out the adapter though when you want to use those mags.

Not sure. I sold all my BDM mags as the feed lips cracked too easily. I do know that you could pop the Better-Mag out of the lower in about 20 seconds and then the BDM mags would work.

It will not work with BDM mags with the mag adaptor in place.

[Last Edit: Riddle] [#33]
thanks for the reply guys. actually i was quite content with my cmmg BHO/ cmmg/ BD mags but this past range was kind of a pain. I really just wanted to spray some lead down range this time and it highlighted how much i hate loading these mags.

Theres also the recent thread about the boonie packer thing (which peaked my interest in 15-22 mags again) and then midway had 25 round s&w mags on sale for $13.99- well that sealed the deal for me. Adapter and 10 mags both coincidentally got here today. I would have bought more mags but black Friday is here so... you know.

edit: im not particularly fond of the feel of s&w 15-22 but i might pick on up for the hell of it now that i have mags
