I'm not sure about that. It is the standard barrel that comes with Spike's Tactical "specter" length platform. It is 16" with a Spike's SD 8.5" Fake Can.

I got to get me one of them!

Is the barrel 16" plus the 8.5" can or 16" overall with both of them?
Does the fake can count toward the 16" total length required for the barrel?

It does not look that long in your pics.
Over all length. The can is simply a sleeve that slides over the barrel for that shorty look. The barrel sets back into the receiver 1 1/2" so it really makes it look even shorter.

Finished the my son's (yeah right...guess who's shootin' it when he's at school ) .22 mostly dedicated upper.

We had previously traded off an almost brand new GSG5 MP5 clone that really didn't excite either of us after a couple full mags thru it. We thought a dedicated .22 to go along with the kid's CAR would be more practical in the long run. It was pretty much an even exchange of parts to fund this upper build.

CMMG conversion kit, New Colt 14.5" w/perm attach Phantom FH 1/12 twist, Cardinal A3 FT upper recvr,Matech flip up BUIS, 2pc quadrail, KAC VFG and Ergogrip's OD diamond patterned rail covers.
The host lower is Superior with OD collapsable and pistol Grip. This set up shoots nice little groups at 50yds with Fed. Bulk Pack ammo.

The kid took this nice little bunny while we sighting in the irons. He popped this wabbit at 60yds standing offhand. One shot and a cool backflip made a nice little memory for the both of us. It's a keeper I think.

Here's the kid's CAR for his b-day before a few OD furniture swaps.

hey guys,

i just converted my ar to dedicated 22LR using M1S's dedicated upper, conversion kit.

question, browsing through these photos i see your 22's using real ar15 magazines.  how are you doing this?  id prefer to fit a 22lr mag into one of my 20rd ar mags to give it the real look.  are you modifiying your 22lr mags to fit into real ar mags?

They are probably using Black Dog Machine magazines which are the same dimensions as a standard AR mag on the outside.

I can't speak for anyone else but the one you see in mine at the top of the page is a 5.56 H&K mag. The only reason for it being in the rifle was so I could stand it up on the mag, the .22 mags aren't flat enough to balance on there bottom's.

I'm not sure. It was gave to me by a friend of mine in 5th SF Group. I looked all over the thing and couldn't find any logo's on it. It does resemble an Eagle Tactical Bag. I wish I could be more help. You may be able to find it through NSN items at the DOD Mall.

Heh it's a cat tree, had to cut down a birch on the yard once so I decided to salvage some of it. I just wasted an hour trying to zero it last night until I found out the eotech was loose and rattling a bit
