If it malfunctions again, take special note of the exact order of operations, and report it to us in as much detail as possible. |

Removing a small amount from the hammer (indicated in the picture) will solve your problem. Removing the material from that corner hurts nothing. Attached File You can either remove a little and recheck or just remove a good bit at one shot like I did again, this hurts nothing. that part of the hammer has no function or interaction other than hitting a regulator that's a tad to far forward...Attached File |

Having a couple extras would make swapping between AR’s really slick. Kinda funny that after years of occasionally reading various threads on here, this is the thread that finally got me to make an account. |

It's not recommended to have multiple lowers with those modified trigger components, and to swap the Regulator unit among them. While the Regulator is out of that gun, the safety will disable the disconnector, which can cause hammer follow, which just is not a good idea. |

This contact can also cause the FRT in semi mode. By switching hammers there was probably a slight improvement in hammer/disconnector engagement and that solved reset failure. I would make sure the new hammer is not hitting the regulator. |

Thanks to who ever recommended the green polishing wheel, I used that, and went slow, it barely takes of anything, but was able to go back and forth and test fit till it fits snug in multiple uppers. It's actually tighter still than my original AZR I bought months ago. Now new issue, when I pull the charging handle back, it kinda binds or feels stuck, but if I give it a nice solid yank, it goes back and forth just fine. What do you think is causing that. Currently in the gun with a tool craft BCG. with the 3 position trigger parts (Noveske upper/lower) |

info appreciated please... some time ago a few conversations over the phone with J.D. was have a small 9mm issue. have had several cordial conversations with him the past couple of years about his products. in one of those conversations i asked about the 15A1 project. he tells me..."lets not go there" rather tersely. have i missed something in all the azr threads about this particular unit? he has never been rude or talked badly to myself before and he was not this time either. he just seemed a little off on this subject. anybody know something about the 15A1 unit that i dont? thanks! |

K ... so ... not a fan of JD's naming system. Had to stroll through the site to figure out I have one. He's announced availability on 2.27 am FYI. Been a lot of drama about relations and there is now clear separation between him and this place. PSR reviewed the AR15A1. Since then, he "could" sell them faster than he "can" produce them. So, he sells as many as he can produce. I'm certain Youtube's PSR video will bring you up to speed on the product. |

I can't remember if it has an open channel at the back or not. An open channel is needed to fit the disconnector. |

You guys realize at this point you can have a 'better' trigger pull three position with a traditional (mil-spec) selector without all the dremel and fitting? I have 3 AZR's, my 3 position works and dropped-in (for my situation), however the trigger pull is so gritty/rough/ heavy in semi. Why hasn't AZR refined this? Maybe, because we are buying it hand over fist. I'm reading all the hardware fitment issues (tolerance stacking) and how to smooth the trigger action in this thread. Then the upper receiver pocket has to be dremel-ed and so on. Lots of dremel. Right now there are competing forced reset devices that avoid the fitment issues and makes for a lighter better trigger control (no dremel required) Anyhoo, not to derail, only an observation. I don't own a dremel, maybe I should get one? |

I don't own a dremel, maybe I should get one? Your premise is wrong. You can't get another FRT that externally looks mil spec. Closest you can get is a Partisan or Rare Breed, with a Gorton selector, but that still has the wrong trigger shoe. Or you can get a mil spec looking trigger, but you'll have a screw or bolt in your selector. The 3 position AZR looks like an M16 or M4 from the outside, it usually works (all of mine do), it's not horribly expensive, and the trigger pull is acceptable for mag dumping into garbage and other short range shooting. |

I also have a number of ARC-Fires "over" modified G$ triggers. Better triggers? Yes. A better option overall? That's debatable. I certainly wouldn't give up my AZRs over a milspec trigger pull. Someone here already said it best: "I consider AZRs like Frank's RedHot: I put that shit on everything." |

So yeah, if the trigger shoe looked mil-spec then I would go the other route every time, it doesn't (cassette type forced reset). I haven't shot my AZR 3 position enough, though it is a rough gritty semi pull no argument there. The AZR 2 position is great with a G trigger. Why hasn't AZR refined it's A1 trigger pull? There is room for improvement. I need an ARC Fire then too. FRT all the things. |

I don't own a dremel, maybe I should get one? Take this is a grain of salt, but I have SS with G$ trigger, SS with deeznuts trigger, Partisan, Atrius, and AZR (now multiple of each). The AZR was the only one that truly dropped in and ran. The SS's took a good bit of tuning, grinding down hammers b/c of binding and opening up the upper receiver. My atrius just doesn't run, and I'm working on it now actually changing around uppers/lowers to ones that give it the best chance of working and will relieve the upper if needed after I test it out again. I haven't shot my two partisans yet as they came in Friday, but it was VERY tight to fit it into my 9mm AR and safe has a lot of play/mush in the trigger. where as it feels so much better in my MPX. They both pass the table top function test). And I have a newer AZR that seems like their tooling could probably use replacement b/c it was ~0.1mm thicker than my original and wouldn't fit in any upper, but polishing around it on all sides gave me the clearance where it fits). so they all have potential issues. There's QC post stating partisan is firing on reset in semi, there's report of needing stronger hammer spring due to light strikes. Not saying AZR is the best, maybe I got lucky that my first one dropped in. But I'm saying all these FRT's can have issues and many of which is due to the slight variability of tolerances and cuts of various rifles we put them in. |

My early AZR Redacted dropped in & runs in a SSA, S3G and SSA-X. They work as advertised, the only critique I have with the AZR 3 position is the trigger pull semi. I'm happy with them. I have a PT coming this week and a Gorton Ambi-Selector on the side. The PT trigger shoe doesn't pass the purity test is all. I suppose it'll run just as guud with a lighter semi-pull. |

I honestly don't like the feel of my partisan trigger pull, but I have yet to live fire it. And the whole 3.5 lb light crisp vs mil spec vs gritty etc is kinda moot point when in FRT. My dealer gave me a pretty good price on the partisan hence I jumped on it. Hopefully I get a chance to fire it this week. |

My first FRTs from Arizona Regulators were the 3 position AZR-15A1 when he first released them . They dropped in and ran fine. I now have a bunch of FRTs from various manufacturers and consider AZR-15A1 a fine choice at its price point and for its intended purpose. I was trained on an M16A1 to fire 3 round bursts when it was set on "auto" and continue to do that today - unless I'm doing a mag dump. My finger handles the 3 round burst via my release. As others have said, JD needs to smooth out the trigger pull some more. It is a typical mil spec gritty kind of pull. But, they do have a discernible, consistent, break. JD is still only allowing sales of 1 unit at a time. He is now dropping more units for internet sale every Friday morning. Sales have slowed down. Even the 3 position AZR-15A1 triggers are not selling out for a day or so now. I think that it is time for him to permit orders of multiple AZR-15A1 triggers at a time. I'm not messing around with 1 per week. If he opens it up to permit me to buy more, then I will. |

And I was flagged for being a bot and cancelled a week later. Also since the partisan released, they are about the same price (if not cheaper), 3 position and easy to install. If my two work well, I'm going to try to figure out which one I like more between the two and may get rid of the atrius, and SS's that I have (my SS's work but the push button I don't like b/c I always take a second to think which direction is what?) |

You are correct about the Partisan Disruptor and the AZR-15A1 being about the same price. I am aware of that. I am not standardizing on a single, or even a couple of FRT designs. For defensive weapons I am standardizing. Range toys are for fun, so I have a variety. I have 6 ARC-Fire v1s with G$ triggers. I have some AZR-15A1 triggers. I have an Atrius and some Super Safties, etc. I have only one Atrius so that others can see and fire it. I can show people why they would ordinarily be better off getting an ARC-Fire. (The Atrius and the Rise Rave 140 is for a .22 build - when I get to it.) I already have 6 ARC-Fires with G$ triggers but I will get more when v.2 comes out. I will get some Partisan LATs when they come out. I have other FRTs not mentioned. I usually try to buy multiples of an FRT. That is a large enough sample size for private anecdotal evidence. If all 4 triggers do the same thing, then barring a later production run error, or changes in design, later triggers are likely to be like the first 4 or half dozen, or whatever other number I bought. At my age, I have long been about getting other people into shooting, and now, getting them into FRTs. I like to have various hosts with a number of different FRTs. This way I can show them to folks, explain the benefits and downsides of each, and then let them have at it. "Empty some mags!" "Come over for a build party and I'll help you build your own AR15!" In May I am having a build party for the ladies from church. Some of their husbands are going to do a build with them. I'll have two bench vises set up with Midwest lower assembly blocks and then switch them to Geissele reaction rods for the uppers. I am intentionally going to build my upper on a BCM upper which requires heat to install the barrel. That way they can see how things can get a little more complicated. We are going to assemble our uppers from completion kits. The uppers are not factory assembled. I jokingly refer to the ladies as the "Church defense team." I am thinking about getting get some T shirts printed for the women who come. I will have a door prize. The doctors and staff at my chiropractor's want to come have a company build party. My barber wants to build another AR15 and to shoot mine. People are getting heavily into builds and FRTing. That is a good thing. For example, I have between 2 and 5 or even more of lots of various lengths of AR15s. I lost track of how many 20" ARs I have. One of my 10.5" pistols still has a LaRue MBT-2s in it. It has a non-full auto rated SilencerCo Scythe Ti can on it, so it's not FRTed. It is my wife's pistol. She needs light and handy. My 10.5" pistol has an ARC-Fire ambi with military selector and a G$ trigger and a HUXWRX Flow 5.56 Ti can mounted on a HUXWRX flash hider. Both 10.5s and the 11.5s and one 16" carbine has/have Aimpoint Pros. One carbine has an LPVO. Most of my pistols have Aimpoint Pros, so I do tend to standardize there. My 12.5" pistols are not yet assembled and do not yet have optics. But, they will likely also be Aimpoint Pros. My 11.5" pistols are also a mixture of FRTs and triggers. This is also true my 12.5" pistols, the 13.7" (only 1 at this point!), 16" carbines, and the 20" rifles. The only AR15 rifle I have that is a one-off is a 24" varmint rifle with a factory two stage trigger. I am really debating putting a LaRue MBT-2s (of which I am quickly gaining extras by installing ARC-Fires and G$ triggers instead) or a G$ G2S in it. I standardize on home defense weapons and am more "inventive" on range toys, like the Super Safeties. People find those fun. So do I. |

again, this hurts nothing. that part of the hammer has no function or interaction other than hitting a regulator that's a tad to far forward...
