Is there really a huge difference between colt BCG’s and other company BCG’s? I have a couple NiB and a standard one from windham from a long time ago. Just loooked that colt BCG’s are $200. I know cloning is expensive but damn...
Looking at the colt BCG from my LE issued ar and some of my others and the staking looks just as good. Finish is a tad smoother than the rough windham phosphate one. Other than that... |

ANGRY WHITE MAN
Texas A&M '99 Would love to find a 601 |
I find it amusing how the EE is being flooded with these OD rails now for 20%+ premium over what G charged.
I think people who bought for the purpose of immediate resale will be sorely disappointed. |

Anyone able to find the Spuhr 1/3 in stock anywhere? I think I’m going to go that route with an aimpoint

For those wanting to go with Troy folding sights. Aim surplus has them on sale for $89 shipped for the combo. Pretty solid deal.

I’ve been reading a lot of conflicting things about gas port / gas port sizes for 11.5 barrels and gas blocks.
I have a Geissele gas block for this build, and may or may not be able to get a colt hrt barrel. IF I did get a different 11.5 barrel, which gas port size would I want? I would be shooting supressed 60% of the time. I have yet to build a 5.56 AR for supressor use so I want to do it right the first time. I usually shoot my 300blk pistol and scar suppressed. But that’s easy to figure out. It seems I would want .750 but would that be way over gassed? |
