I haven't fondled the Hayley rig, but did strongly consider it before buying the Spiritus.

Can't go wrong either way as far as quality.

That being said, Spiritus Systems is the coolest of the cool on instagram.

Is there really a huge difference between colt BCG’s and other company BCG’s? I have a couple NiB and a standard one from windham from a long time ago. Just loooked that colt BCG’s are $200. I know cloning is expensive but damn...

Looking at the colt BCG from my LE issued ar and some of my others and the staking looks just as good. Finish is a tad smoother than the rough windham phosphate one. Other than that...

I find it amusing how the EE is being flooded with these OD rails now for 20%+ premium over what G charged.

I think people who bought for the purpose of immediate resale will be sorely disappointed.

Thanks for posting. I was considering a ODG receiver extension but now that I see it maybe not. I was planning on a black upper/lower and ODG furniture.

I've seen one like that and it looks pretty sweet. I'll be using a ODG extension with black furniture on mine.

The best is all the nonsense they post with the rail.

"I bought 8 of these in 3 shades each to finish some builds, but decided not to build them the day they came in.  Need to sell them now"

I’ve been reading a lot of conflicting things about gas port / gas port sizes for 11.5 barrels and gas blocks.

I have a Geissele gas block for this build, and may or may not be able to get a colt hrt barrel.
IF I did get a different 11.5 barrel, which gas port size would I want? I would be shooting supressed 60% of the time.
I have yet to build a 5.56 AR for supressor use so I want to do it right the first time. I usually shoot my 300blk pistol and scar suppressed. But that’s easy to figure out.

It seems I would want .750 but would that be way over gassed?

I think .75 would be a bit over gassed.
If suppressed I would aim for something around .07 or a few thou bigger.

I'm pretty convinced you're reading the gas block diameter not the port size.
.75 gas port is impossible on 556 barrel

This. A 3/4" gas port ain't gonna happen. Lol

You're reading the barrel diameter where the block sits

The .750 you're seeing is likely referring to the size of the gas block journal and not the gas port.

Beat.

Colt doesn’t even mfg their bcg, they just spec them in a certain way. They used to be smoother than others,  ut since the AR has become super popular, other “brands” have gotten the same.

Does anyone know why some 4Ms are graphite and others are 100% blacked-out?

The 4M I received from Optics Planet is all black, came in a white OEM box w/Sig Sauer label on the side.
