Hit the range this morning, 36 and raining.
The 14.5 ran like a raped ape, suppressed and unsuppressed. Accuracy was great - didn't have any fancy loads to shoot, but with M193 and wolf MC it shot very well. Very satisfied with the outcome. I'll get pics and a vid up here after while. |

They also make it in different sizes than griffon so the 7.5 fits the N6 perfect. I almost went with the griffon 7in but I diddnt want parts on the exposed can burning foam inside my case when I throw it in after use. Waiting for a can to cool sucks! |

When you adjust the focus, you make the reticle clearer, right? Once you have it set, you don't mess with it do you? 2. Does the shorter barrel make the FSB more prominent in the optic? If the scope was mounted on a 16" or 20" would the FSB be visible at all? 3. The instructions say to zero the rifle at 100 yards and then the reticle will inform 200, 300, etc. yard shots. I assume that's designed around a 16" barrel. How much does that change with an 11.5" barrel? LOL. Like I'll ever take a 500 yard shot again. View Quote Compare the ballistics of your barrel and load with the optic's, calculators can be found online. keep in mind, barrels of the same length can/will produce different velocities with the same load, so to be precise, you'll need to chrono your barrel/ammo. depending on the reticle and the type of shooting you do it may make it more complicated than just learning your holdovers/unders |

I zero'd at 100 (when as an 11.5) and just learned the elevation adjustment on my turret.
Worked beautifully. |

So on that you're set. As to #2, you have a carbine gas system. It's the same distance from the scope on your 11.5" as it would be on a 16" carbine gas barrel. Quite honestly, with how close a FSB is to the scope, no matter which gas system you have, it really shouldn't make much difference. You'll see it on 1x, however, it'll be a small blur at the bottom of your sight picture on 4x. Shouldn't effect you what so ever. |

Terminal balls Out of the two rounds you mentioned, the 62gr TAP Barrier is going to provide better effective terminal ballistics out to a farther range than the Mk262. As another member posted at the bottom of the last page, there are some other loads that have shown to be superior to the JSP TAP offerings as well, namely a few manufacturers that produce loads utilizing the Barnes TSX projo, although I'm not sure on the costs of those. |

That might just look badass with that modular cutout and FSB It would be a Mini Dissy Recce I might start an entire movement |

Yes, the gas block is a must, as I do not ever run comps, so it will get a 51T Brakeout for a can mount. Off to search. Weapons outfitters had a sweet barrel on sale, but now Fin has my eyeballing those Ballistic Advantage barrels. I am going to do that 12.5 midlength. I will have ADCO hog out the gasport and just throw a Seekins or SLR gasblock on there. |

You won't need a adjustable block unless yore using a can. the 13.7" Infidel seems to have a port sized(I have no idea what the size is) right in the sweet spot to run both nato pressure and lower powered 223. It's a very smooth cycling configuration, obviously slightly dependent on BCG, RE, Spring, buffer and weight of the rifle. I run mine with an A5 RE and it feels pretty much on par with a 20" rifle. |

It's a very smooth cycling configuration, obviously slightly dependent on BCG, RE, Spring, buffer and weight of the rifle. I run mine with an A5 RE and it feels pretty much on par with a 20" rifle. The A5 system has me VERY intrigued. I have ignored it, intentionally, not wanting to spend any more on these damn things. I may just try one on this next one. Be warned, it's kind of like gieselle triggers, once you try one you'll want them on everything. I have an extra one sitting here, be more than willing to send it to you so you can try it out. they really shine on SBRs. This was my fear I am gathering the parts for my CQBR with FSB build, and I have run out of REs. I bought a half dozen VLTOR 6 position, foolishly thinking I would never need another. Decisions, Decisions...I bet on that 10.3, supressed, it would be king ? |

I built a dissy with rifle length gas with an A5 that I'll hopefully get to test tomorrow. I've read the A5 tends to fix undergass issues with this particular setup. I've never shot a rifle length gas, but my middy w/A5 is sooo smooth that I have high expectations for the dissy. |

Fixes undergas issues? Please 'splain. Not discounting, I am truly intrigued. I want to choke the gas back until I can nearly make it not function, so this has my interest.
