Gents, need to find a reasonably-priced barrel for the mini-recce build. I building an 11.5" but as long as it's a stainless match-grade barrel, I have the means to cut it back and reprofile the muzzle. I don't believe the BCM 11.5" SS410 barrels are being made any longer. That leaves me with a pricey Noveske or a 12" LaRue Stealth that I'd hafta cut back. Not sure if the LT Stealths are stainless though.

Any other options out yonder?

This is what I was gonna use. Expensive, but you might not have to cut/rethread for use with that RAS medium

This company I've never heard of

https://moriartiarmaments.com/11.5-5.56-stainless-steel-hbar-barrel-1-8-twist-ar-15-11.5-stainless-steel-barrel-1-8-twist

Bison armory has a 6.8 11.5 barrel if you want to go that way.

Faxton had an 11.5 and I hear good things about their barrels

I'm getting pretty excited about this thing. Planning to use the NT4-compatible MAMS but until the 'Cob clears, I need to make use of this SF Warden I have laying around. I'm just wondering if the 1-8x AccuPower will dwarf this gun.  But I've kinda decided not to give a fuck because I plan to share it with the SR clone. And if the big 15x NF doesn't dwarf my Mod1, I don't think the AccuPower will dwarf the mini-recce. I've never once complained about too much magnification.

I don't think so bro, there are several photos of that scope on short rifles on google and it looks fine.  I think it will look sick.

How heavy is it?

I just got this build together but haven't shot for groups yet. A long way to go on this. Need to pick up a MAWL and surefire mini scout in FDE. Barrel is also getting sent off to Pitts for some dimpling. Need to find a Geissele SD-E. Also have a different stock + grip coming for it next week. 12.5" mid-length crusader tho. What little I've shot it I've been really happy with the performance. As soon as it gets back from dimpling I'll take a few different match ammo out with me and see what it can do @ 100.

I've been a fan of this thread for a while. Thank you to everyone for all of the inspiration. Your posts motivated me to put this beast together from scratch. Too many parts to list. Some key items to call out:

- Aero upper
- OIF-15 lower
- Larue MBT-2S trigger
- Centurion C4 12" rail
- Ergo QD vertical foregrip
- Larue/Harris - LT706/BRM-S bipod with added KMW Pod Loc
- Larue Stealth 14.5" barrel
- PWS FSC556 pinned/welded
- Steiner M5Xi 1-5x24 mounted in a Larue SPR-E

Enjoy...
