Build done for now. Excited to try out 77gr tomorrow out to 300 yards. Possible changes: A2 stock for an A1 if I want shorter lop A2 grip for ergo when I can find a cheap one Colt handle for a gas buster when I become less poor Bobro mount for a clone correct when I become less poor and buy a 2nd scope |

Well I am getting some Arms rings again to make it more correct.
They have the lever stops, because I just can't bring myself to pay a extra $150 for the ones without it. Here are the ones I found on the EE for $110.

Took my parents to 1000yds today. we all danced around clays at the 1050 berm, and made some hits on the 1000yd steel gong. mom actually flipped a clay up with the mk12. she is VERY good with it. Dads savage 6.5cm did as well. both guns did very well. 43min + .75mil hold to 1k. 43min + 1.5mil hold to 1050 sighter berm. 6-7 min left wind hold. medium breeze slowed a bit but still had wind pretty much the entire time. my first shot with no wimd dialing was 3ft off. 2nd was 1ft. 3rd was center mass. every time i go it makes it quicker to get doped up. next time i will be dialimg in wind from the start. take notes boys! i went to my old dope and was dead on with elev and took a quick min to be dialed for wind. this is ALL with 77gr TMK handloads BTW. in comparison, the 6.5 130gr ELDM hnadys were affected less... 29 min to 1k. 31.5min to 1050. 1.5-3min wind. good times! bucket list for both of them. 16" will get you to 1k! #thatfiocchiboxisback |
