Started as a DPMS M4 upper, and a stripped Mega lower. I originally build it as a M4gery, but after about a 1000 rounds I realized I didn't need a M4gery.
So I kept the barrel since it was sub-MOA and rebuild it as a coyote rifle. Bipod is for the picture only I don't use one while hunting 'yotes. http://www.itctel.com/~zengrass/Coyote%20AR%20028%20resized.jpg Jonathan |

My first build:

I think your 80% build needs a 100% mag release!!!!!!!!! But I do admire somebody who can get it done right! |

It looks like it needs the bottom of the mag well milled out too... Wait... I bet it is one of those "FAB-10" style receivers for those poor Kommiefornia folx who have to deal with their crazy restrictions... hough, |

My latest Zombie Gun. Except for the ACOG and the lower receiver, I purchased all of the parts off of the EE. It took me nearly a year to acquire all the parts, accessories, doo-dads. Range report to follow.
My thanks to the following individuals and dealers: Denny's Guns Eagle Firearms BrightFlashlights DSG Arms G&R Tactical Rainier Arms (Tactical Solutions) skich BTW, posted an ACOG mount question on the Optics Forum if any of you are willing to give your $0.02: www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=18&t=241668&page=1 |

I bet it is one of those "FAB-10" style receivers for those poor Kommiefornia folx who have to deal with their crazy restrictions... Seriously though, it does look pretty nice...) You don't have to rub it in....althought I wish I had the natural and god GIVEN right to bare what ever firearm I choose. |

Sorry dude, no offense intended... But it isn't too late to move to a sane state... I love it down here in TX, moved down here from up north a few years ago... hen |

My first build. Still a ways to go but had to show it off. Quite a thrill seeing it take shape from a bag of parts. Put the upper and lower parts in sitting at work. hishttp://216.77.188.54/coDataImages/p/Groups/272/272381/folders/208990/1600451build2.JPG

hey, finally got one! Typical 'black rifle' build, J&T kit on a Superior arms lower. It's silly how easy it is to put these kits together, guess I need to scratch build one next!

The problem is if you accidentally leave it, you can't find it. |

I can still see it J/k, nice color. Maybe that would suck if it was completely camoflauged to the natural environment and you couldn't find it after laying it down. |

eklikwhoa,
What grip is that on your build? |

SIMPLYDYNAMIC, why the 550 cord on the bipod legs? Does that help in employing them faster?

Sweet Jesus! That is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! My wishlist just went up one..... |

I don't mean to offend anybody, but I've always wondered - what constitutes a "build?"
Is a rifle a qualified self-built if the owner buys a complete upper and a complete lower and simply puts them together, or does it mean that the builder used stripped receivers and assembled everything? Or both? Thanks, Lincoln ETA: Before coming here (to Arfcom) I had told someone that I built a rifle when I assembled a complete lower and a complete upper. I just want to know what is referred to here when we're looking at other's projects. Either way there are some talented tinkerers in here. |

Thanks Heres a updated pic. I swapped the Vltor rifle stock for the LMT/SOPMOD. It works much better for me. And I finally got a front Troy BUIS. |

Yup! the very best i could find! |

Yes Steve, it is a techneque used in 3 gun compititions mainly (Todd Jerret uses it) but applies in tactical situations as well. |
||
|
Hope you didnt use Gorilla GLue to put it together I wish my hardware store let me tote in my AR's at my leisure!!!! |
