Not with a disruptor, but a regular Hoffman style SS: You absolutely need a heavier buffer to prevent bolt bounce, the KAK 10 ounce is what worked for me. PSA included a solid steel buffer with my AR9, totally cheap POS buffer. The bounciest of bolt buffers basically. Trust me, you don’t want bolt bounce, as they lead to out of battery detonations with the AR9 type of weapons. BTDT… |

Put one in my PSA AR9, no luck yet. I had previously cut the bolt weight to use it with a Super Safety - which also didn't work. I have the original PSA buffer and a 12oz or 14oz? heavy buffer, plus 3 buffer springs to try out. I also have a firing pin spring on order. Just a update. I installed the Dissruptor trigger. I did not have to cut or remove any of the bolt weight. The weapon functions fine in semi auto. The forced reset was touch and go. I might get a 3 round burst then a dead trigger with round in chamber with slight dimple on primer. I fire on forced reset and only get one round off with dead tigger and round in chamber with dimple on the primer. Took the bolt apart lubed and cleaned went out went thru 2 17rnd mags in forced reset mode like butter but then back to dead trigger. I'm using the 10 oz Kaw valley buffer as suggested and the buffer spring that came with the weapon ( PSA AR9 ). I ordered some Lee springs to replace the firing pin spring. I'll go from there. |

I'm giving up. AR PX9 Gen 4 (Glock) with Partisan Disruptor.  Received my new trigger springs from Amazon. Installed it.  Tried 3 different buffer springs with the original included PSA buffer with sliding weights and the 3 buffer springs with a 12.5oz buffer (w/ sliding weights) from: https://heavybuffers.com/9qt.html The two buffers are the same length. The springs are 3 different lengths.  Ran the bolt wet with CLP. I got 2-3 shot bursts followed by a dead trigger with all the spring lengths and 12.5oz buffer. Using the OEM PSA buffer = 1shot followed by a dead trigger in FRT mode with all the spring lengths. |

I saw a video the other day on a channel that seems to feature 9mm AR’s a lot-he came to the conclusion on his gun that it was the firing pin spring that was causing his issues-it makes sense: If the firing pin is already forward after slamming into battery, it’s not there for the hammer to hit it. |

For me, the best plan is always to try a basic super safety first- that will help you fix any issues with the gun itself, as it is the most tolerant frt design. Mine runs great once I upgraded to a 10 oz buffer, zero issues. Worked terribly prior to that though. |

https://imgur.com/a/5kLyFVZ Had success with the Lee spring LC 026BC 09S! The PSA Ar9 ran like butter! The psa firing pin spring was notably shorter than the lee spring. The image shows the psa firing pin spring on the bottom. My items used were a Kaw valley 10oz tungsten buffer, lee spring and stock buffer spring that came with the ar9. No modifications to the bolt weight or any other part of the ar9. |
