Haven't seen a topic on these yet. AR Variants haven't interested me much since seeing this. Anyone ordered a kit yet or tried one out? What OAL does the ICAR magpul mags allow? Are the magpul 6mmARC IC mags working with 22ARC or 6.5 Grendel as well? Im assuming if a guy wanted this is compatible with 6.8 specific magpul mags as well? With more OAL this opens up alot of options for wilcatting. |

The 6.8 was sized up to allow the thickness needed for polymer magazines, not to increase cartridge OAL. I expect these are the same. A metal magazine in this magwell size would be able to increase cartridge OAL, but I have not heard that anyone is working on it at this time. |

Internal length inside the magazine is a little bit longer, but nothing crazy. I want to say like 2.30" but I'll verify next time I handle one. 22 ARC, 6.5 Grendel, 6mm AR, etc., should all work no problem. I believe the external footprint is the same as the original 6.8 SPC magazines, so you could probably use those mags in a 6.8 or .224 Valkyrie if you wanted to. |
| I almost grabbed a set to do another ARC build, but there doesn’t appear to be many 10–20rd mags available. Just seems like a gap that needs to be filled for optimized use, especially for ppl that will be using it prone or from benches. |

The increases OAL is what would start making things very very interesting. I hope someone makes a steel mags for these. So 2.300 is the MAX COAL with the magpul 6.8 AND 6ARC mags? |

I watched their product video, "standard" 6arc/6.5 grendel bolts were mentioned as being compatible. But do they also use a standard bolt carrier, or something else? I kinda remember when reading about the Surefire ICAR that it used proprietary bolt carriers and bolts, the bolt being a little longer and larger diameter, and the bolt also being a little larger diameter. Not 100% though, someone correct me if I'm wrong. Just wonder what you'd actually use to build this out. A standard AR-15 bolt carrier, and then a 6arc/6.5 grendel AR-15 bolt? |
