My 16” RECCE rifle has a trijicon accupower 1-4 on it, and I haven’t seen many of those around, I paid $700 flat for it New.
Would ya guys say that’s a good optic to be running on something like that or try and sell it and put something else on there? I shot about 300rds with it. It’s nice to my limited knowledge. I’ve only ever used a trijicon acog when i was in the marine corps.
I got a trijocon MRO set aside for my .300blk pistol

I had a 1-4x accupoint that was my favorite carbine optic ive ever used. Sold it to my dad and bought it back I loved it so much.  For me I'm faster on the clock with it than a rds.

I've seen both the Vortex Razor HD Gen II 1-6 and its bigger brother the 3-18x50 (could also be the 4.5-27x56 since they look identical from afar) in the wild.

I'd think the 3-18x50 would be a heavy sumbitch for a Recce rifle though.

I do wonder how the 3-18x50 would be on top of my Mk12 Mod1...

I overlooked the "in the wild" part in my tired and drunk state. Plus, this really isn't a clone thread so pretty much anything can be used lol.

If it weren't for how much the 2.5-8 makes the look of the mod1, I'd do the 3-18 razor or NF 3.5-15.

So I wasn’t digging the cheek weld with the CTR, but I also didn’t want the length of a sopmod, so I found an original Vltor mod stock which is the best of both imo....

Still need a T1 for my predator mount then I have to finally get around to getting an aem5.....but it’s getting there

Also, both those new Nightforce 1-8s look awesome, I think I would prefer the smaller, lighter NX8 to the ATACR on a 5.56 Recce type.

I have been very happy with my PST 1-6 compared to the Razor 1-6 and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to you.  When I am running illumination, it is usually at 4.

Later this year I hope to get some trigger time at some 500m targets and I'll report back on that.  The furthest targets I've hit with the Razor and Viper are 315 yards.

Maybe I'm a wuss but it's completely distracting.  1 of my M-1 carbines does this.  Or did, I only have one left.  Can't remember which one did it though...  It was just like a little imperfection in the wood always grabbed the hairs. LOL.

Couldn’t agree more. And with the right bullet you have the same ballistics.

Waiting for this weather to warm up so I can paint this sucker.

T'would be fun to get out there right now.  For a little bit.  But I don't think I will.  13 degrees out today.  That's actually not too bad.....  It was like 1 or 2 on New Years.....

Mine is a WOA barrel for wayfarer.  I bought the whole upper built by ADCO.  But a lot of people like the WOA barrel.  Haveblue83 used it on his Mod H and it shoots really well.  Mine shoots real well too, although I'm not sure I've ever taken advantage of how good it can shoot.  I have gotten a few sub MOA groups.  But I'm usually more like 1-1.5 MOA with match ammo.  2-3 with other stuff.  Sometimes worse than that depending on ammo.  It seems to like XM855 for cheaper ammo.

And then every once in a while I still act stupid with it:

I was about to post my Armalite m15 with a Geissele SMR MK2 in here, but dang it if I'm not about to sell it for FF RAS. This thread is turning into a straight up Recce thread and it's going to cost me money

It doesn't help that I've been on a KAC kick here lately.

I did too....then I considered buying it alland selling the rings and scope off, but at market prices that would have ended up being a $1200 Mount/Mrds combo and can’t drop that on a mount no matter how rare it is. I got lucky and picked up a predator tactical offset T1 mount from augee.
