Put the first rounds through my new suppressor yesterday. Even had the 600 yard range all to myself!

Love that rifle and that range looks great. The URX 3.1 on a recce looks right at home.

yeah NF is the tits.

Both MOA and MIL models can be had for 1570 right now. That’s less than us Optics. True one power. Day time bright. NF tough. What more can you ask for? I played with the Trij at my LGS and wasn’t impressed.

well if were throwing the nightforce in the options then yeah definitely get the NX8 or atacr if you can.

i went from the triji 1-8 to the atacr 1-8 and it was money well spent.

well I wanted a larger objective...
and scored a USOP for less than an NX8.
I haven't committed yet.

DD RECCE

Threw on a cheap Euro manufacturer Optic.
A Falcon Optics 1-8x S8i model.
honestly... not sure I'm feeling the RECCE style.
might move to the US Optics B10 or a Leupy Mark 4

DD M4A1 Upper 16bbl
BCM lower and internals w/ BCG

** Don't tell me I need to paint it !

Yeah, what don't you like?  That's a nice one.  Although it looks like a Block II if you had an M4 barrel underneath there.....

So IDK WTF your problem is with all that attitude like a child.

1. He was actually paying you a compliment
2. He was asking a serious question of what you don't like about it
3. He was just saying it looks like a block ii which is a recce style

I did not mean anything bad by it.  I'm sorry if I offended.  I just was thinking you are pulling double clone duty with that one.  And how special that rail is for a block II clone.  Most of the times people with that rail go full block II clone with an M4A1 barrel.  Or  M4 barrel.   Anyways.......

I think I might have been curious as to exactly what barrel is underneath there.....  What is it?

Either way it's a nice rifle.  And some of us were wondering what you didn't like about it.  They definitely can be on the heavy side or front heavy.... If someone wants to nitpick.  Which I do sometimes.

But it was not meant to be irritating or a dig on you.  Sorry if I was.

Yeah not intended as a Block 2 clone. A RECCE pic in here from 2015, was my inspiration. Guy has the 14.5 DD set-up w/ an Inforce, DBAL and a NF . thought it looked nice.
Weight of the rifle has never been a concern of mine.
Had / did a MK12 clone-ish on a 308yrs ago.
couldn't pass up the Brownells deal on this upper.
I might just simply prefer the SPR feel, get a full size scope.... these LVPO, short dots, just not sure I feel it.
Maybe better glass like a Triji 1-8 and an offset RDS will please me

308 MK12

Yeah the trouble I had with the recce was the low power scopes.  Wasn't sure I liked them at first, thought I'd have been better off with a 2.5 to 10 or something.

Then I did a cqb/room clearing training and used the recce. 1x lpvo is way better than I thought it would be foe it. Not eotech good but damn close.
Link Posted: 4/11/2018 2:05:16 PM EST

Yeah, that makes sense.  I dig more power in a scope too.  If I'm going to be shooting for precision, 4x just doesn't really cut it.  But I think a 1-4 is a really good thing for like, runnin and gunnin.  Hunting. But if shooting long range or tiny groups.  There are better options......

Any good recommendations for a gunsmith who could mill a flat on the threaded portion of a AE muzzle brake and pin/weld to barrel without messing the suppressor threads up? I’ve posted in the ADCO section and short answer was no. IM or email me privately if needed. Thanks

Couldn't they just drill a hole through the brake and pin it and rethread that area if they messed something up?

I asked and short answer from bigbore was no. Building a Recce with a 14.5” barrel right now and would like the AE muzzle brake pin/welded. Already got a custom collar made for it. AEM5 would be used on this setup.

prodigy808,

k31user is Ron Allen the guy you need to talk to, or message I would bet he would make you a brake with the flat and hole, then all you need is to complete the pin and weld. I would google aesuppresors.com and look at contacts and give him a call.
