So I had a Co worker offer me $750 for my savage msr recon and I'm seriously considering it. I'm in the process of building an spr type rifle but still want to keep a recce as I think they are the best all around ar configuration.
So what's the best scope I could get in the $500-600 range 1-4/6/8x I was leaning towards steiner p4xi |

This is as far as I have gotten so far. I just dropped my order for a Douglas recon barrel from CLE, so hopefully this will be together shortly.

Updates to the seal recce.
NF rings on Irons off Larue SS Barrel Ae brake and collar Ordered AEM5 Getting stoked. Gonna go shoot a few rounds through the barrel before the chop.

I guess especially with a can on...... I forget about that. Cuz I don't have one. I feel like I'd prefer the extra velocity for trying to poke it out as far as you want. I guess it just depends on how far that is..... I only have 600 at my range, so it probably doesn't even need to be 16" for that. It might help fight the wind a bit though. And my range is wiiiindy. Right on Lake Michigan.

Finally got the balls to spray paint my mod 2 upper on an LMT lower. Definitely not as nice as others in here, but I’m happy with it since I’m a novice rattlecanner.

@Eyekahn I think you’ve got one or even two sizes too high there. Still looks good but the closer together makes it more noticeable.
I will say I think the two pics of GBOF’s rifle there are two different heights. First pic is the size you have now. Second pic looks correct. Could always get a kac Mount
