View Quote I bought the 1/4" tall rail (YHM) from Primary arms and a cheap ebay micro aluminum gas block (6061). Its holding up well for now. I'll post pics tomorrow of it all painted to match. I may dimple and/or send it to get pinned. I also though about using a railed gas block, but almost all cheap gas blocks are "rail" height. Mounting a tlr-1 at rail height will block your field of view significantly!. This mount drops the light down almost a full inch closer to the barrel. You could use this onedouble rail GB and cut or mill the top (gas tube) rail off and use the bottom as the top. If I had it to do again I'd get a clamp on gas block that cross bolts instead of using set screws. ETA: |

View Quote That 300 looks fantastic with the inline keymod mount. Do you have a weight for that complete light + mount + batteries setup with either the Arisaka body or the Surefire body? |

The weight with a surefire KE1A head instead of Malkoff head is 0.4 oz more. |

Very nice. I always wondered how low profile the bcm mount was but never really saw good pics until now.

The screw head on the MBUS Pro touches the mount ever so slightly. I considered grinding a half millimeter off the mount but I don't think it affects anything. The mount is locked down tight as is the sight. I wanted something that would allow me to mount a sling unobstructed under the light so it was between this and the Arisaka. I opted to save a few bucks and I'm happy with it. |
