I've come across an R6500 (1985/1986 I think) in very good to excellent condition.

When I turned 18 in 1986, I bought myself one of these rifles with funds provided by my dad for that purpose.

My mom was a liberal college professor, anti-gun zealot, and within a week of my purchase my rifle disappeared. It ended up in the Ohio River.

I'm not going to get into pricing specifics but, I would like to know a general ballpark figure of what this is actually worth in today's market.

I'd like to buy it but I don't want to get completely scammed on price.
