| Looking for a rearward cantilever mount similar to the one that comes with the PA microprisms for a Vortex Spitfire Gen II 3x. Is anything available? |

I've explored this one for a while. I bought a 5 power Spitfire Gen 2. I wanted more rearward sweep and as the prism uses the Aimpoint micro footprint, I tried a Primary Arms red dot mount. It felt a little high for me when I was using the red dot on top. I ended up settling on a knock off unity cantilever mount from Monstrum and mounted the prim with the included vortex low mount on it which was ok for the vortex and I didn't feel like I had my head lifted too far off the stock when I used the red dot on top. Monstrum Shrapnel Riser I eventually just ended up switching to an LPVO just to simplify my setups. The other thing I tried was the offset prism like Jeff Gurwich does. I'm sure it works for him but I didn't like having an optic hanging off the side and I have lefties in the house so all my rifles are setup up lefty friendly. If I had to do it all again, I might try this setup:  Flip Off Mount: The $600 ACOG Stack But like I said, I just ended up going to LPVO because it just seemed simpler and works well enough for me and my family. |
