What’s up everyone. I’m looking to build a 10.3” pistol for my ole lady soon. Does anyone have the gas port sizes for the two mentioned barrels. Rosco bloodline 10.5” and Husky 10.3”. Using a standard gas block. This will be %99 unsuppressed (don’t have one yet) and would like it to run reliably with mostly .223 55g. And some 5.56 55g. I like using PMC bronze .223 55g and also shoot AAC 5.56 55g. I’ve tried using Google to find this info and had no luck specifically with these two barrels. After reading ALOT of threads about crane spec .070” not doing well with .223, I’d like to steer clear of it, if at all possible. I understand I can also drill a larger gas port. I read a lot about the Andro 10.3” .078” gas port barrels, that seems like a solid choice and would give me the option of an adjustable gas block or a BRT EZTUNE later on for a suppressor. I’m leaning towards the husky for the chrome lined barrel and chamber. Let me know what you got. Thanks a lot. |

Of your two choices I would option for the bloodline barrel for the weight of the barrels. The Husky barrel is kind of excessively heavy also you can the same barrel from Primary Arms in their Expo line on sale for a really good price. I just went through looking at all these barrels about a month ago and I optioned for the Geissele but in 11.5" as I was looking at 11.5 and not 10.5/.3. |

I’ve also been looking at the expo barrels from primary. Not sure if it’s still an issue, it seems the chambers/barrels had QC problems with burrs. Could be fixed by now though. I’ll still keep researching on those specifically. It’s definitely an option. I came across SOTARs video he did on a 10.5 bloodline and he measured the gas port at .072”. I might just have to just get the barrel and see how it goes. lol. |

I used one in a friends build recently it is a nice barrel but to me it was a little on the heavy side for the length. |

Has the barrel run well for your buddies build? .223 55g He has is suppressed with an older can not a flow through and it did take a bit of adjustment on the gas block and buffer weight to get it to run everything. We shoot a lot of 55gr ammo and 62 m855 type ammo once we got the gas block dialed and the buffer weight it ran everything suppressed and non-suppressed without any further adjustments. Canned the rifle is kind of gassy but it is often windy and we shoot outside so not really a big deal. Also any rifle he puts his can on is gassy so there is that. |

My ole lady is looking to get a suppressor in the future. So thank you for that. But before that happens, I should be good to go without a can? Sprinco blue carbine spring, carbine,h1,h2 buffer and standard low pro gas block. With the given .073” gas port? .223 55g ammo |

With the given .073” gas port? .223 55g ammo More than likely you will find a combination using those buffers that runs exactly how you want. Pick a buffer load 3 mags with one round and send them. See where the brass lands and if the rifle locks back. If it is not the result you want rinse and repeat with a different buffer weight. Good chance they will all work just have slight differences in ejection pattern. |

It’s not at all comfortable. I chose it based on her wanting the law folder so when folded, it would lay as flat as possible. |
