Does anyone know the screw size and thread pitch for the KAC RAS top rail retaining screw? need a replacement and I know there are multiple on eBay, but sellers refuse to ship to CA due to the asinine new online retail gun parts law requiring ID verification and signature (even though it’s a screw…and doesn’t fall under the laws requirements). According to google: The replacement screw size for the rear clamp on standard KAC (Knight's Armament) M4 and M5 RAS quad rails is a #10-32 machine screw. If you are buying a standard replacement, the optimal specifications are: Thread Size: #10-32 (10 gauge, 32 threads per inch) Length: 3/8-inchHead Style: Typically a round or button head (often driven with a hex/Allen key) Quick Tips for Sourcing:Hardware Stores: You can easily find this screw at hardware stores like Lowe's or Home Depot.Modification: If a 3/8" screw bottoms out and doesn't sit entirely flush in the gas tube channel, buy a 1/2" length and file or Dremel it down. |

I would just take it to fastenal. The big box hardware stores might have the right thread pitch screw but often times they’re not quite OEM looking for your specific use. |

Instead of Fastenal, try Ace Hardware. They most likely have it. |

| If you can't source that screw locally, you could pick one, or a few, of them from McMaster-Carr. They sell tons of different sized screws, nuts, bolts, tools, etc... I buy packs of roll pins from them for gas tubes and bolt catches since they mostly sell better quality metal parts. The roll pins don't mushroom out like some of the pins in some of the upper or lower parts kits that are sold. |

They do appear to have the whole kit with the screw in it. I was able to add to cart, inventory states 5 left in stock. Whether or not shipping to CA is an option , I couldn't say. |
