| I have a Budget ar pistol i bought off a friend. The gun only has 200 rounds through it and is in great shape, its made my fort barnes armory in ozark missouri. I know nothing about the gun but i was thinking of getting a 11.5 BCM full built upper. Should i just shoot it like it is and leave it alone or upgrade the whole upper.? |

Throw a Geissele ACH on it, get a good sling (I like the Vickers slings from BFG), and go look at all the lighting options at Arisaka. There ya go.

Post picture of current setup for judgement..... Are SBRs permitted in your AO? If they are, why not go get your free Form 1 tax stamp and SBR that thing? |

If you want a totally different gun, why not just build exactly what you want? You already have a receiver set if you take apart what you currently have. Get a barrel, rail, and trigger that you like. I'm partial to Geissele stuff. It's expensive. But, like I said...I like the G stuff. Form 1 that thing, put a decent stock on it, 12.5" barrel, good rail, good optic that suits the ranges you'll be shooting out to, quality trigger (Not the one piece cartridge types!)... Then go practice. |

The great thing about 7.62X39 is all you'll need is an upper, optic, and mags. A .308 Winchester type AR is a large frame AR. Pretty much everything is different from a 5.56/small frame AR. |
