Picked up a batch of these for next to nothing in a close out. They were listed to have M4 cuts but they seem awful small. Would this be considered a defect or still functional?

| I have a couple receivers with similar sized feed ramps. They were a vendor's no name house brand. I told them the ramps seemed very small compared to all of the other uppers I've used. They responded that all their receivers had the same sized feed ramps. I ended up using them in a couple range blaster budget uppers. Even though they have functioned ok so far for that purpose I haven't ordered any more stripped uppers from that vendor. |

You can't really just look at them and guess what they should be. It takes a bunch of calculations because of the angles and tolerances to get the minimum and maximum distance to the ramp measured from the front face of the receiver to where it touches the beginning of the widest part of the ramp and the width the ramp should be at that measurement. I think I did the numbers for the distance once but never the width. I did it and compared it to a barrel extensions design just to see if an extension ramp could possibly overlap the ramp in the upper if they both were in spec and the answer I got for me with my math was no. |
