The difference in handling is rather amazing between 20" and 14.5", plus, of course, the fact that it's all but wasted barrel length. I have a near-fetish for tiny guns, though. Smaller is almost always better when it comes to non-precision stuff. Hence why I'm mainly in this thread, rather than the M4 thread. I have been wanting to blaspheme against the world and make a 6.5G A2 or A4 clone, though. Doublestar Corp makes a 20" 6.5 upper that would fit the bill. |

I've long learned that there's very little anyone gains practically speaking by going longer than 14.5 inches with a 5.56. Anyone left wanting with a 14.5" 5.56 needs to seek a different caliber. Frankly, the only "practical" argument I've ever heard in favor of going beyond 14.5 inches with a 5.56 is from the guys who like to turn prairie dogs into pink mist. And that being considered a practical advantage is surely up for debate. |

Anyone with a spare BNIB SF4P, email or PM me. May be able to make it worth your while. And you'll be getting an SF4P back in the deal as well...
