Still the best clone I've ever seen of John's rifle! I like the personal touches you've added. This needs to be in the mini recce thread too!

Anyone tried a Geissele mlok rail on a gen 3 Noveske upper yet? I like the upper and lower design but I'm not crazy about the new keymod or mlok rails Noveske is offering. They mate to the upper nicely but I have fairly large hands and they are just so damn small in diameter I'm not all that crazy about how they feel when I hold them. I'm coming from a Vis-3 Noveske recon so maybe I just need to get with the times. Any input would be appreciated, thanks.

I've owned both the ELCAN (a .mil Gen 2 SU-230) and the Kahles (K16i w/ SM1) and the Short Dot is definitely my favorite, by far, out of the bunch.

I can't comment on the battery life as I haven't had to change it since I got it. Can't remember how long it's been now, maybe 8 months? I shoot fairly often but if I'm doing groups or shooting long distance I don't turn on the dot. It also has an auto shut off feature.

I finally finished my Mk12 Inspired Noveske.  Let me know what you guys think.  Cerekote is Noveske Bazooka Green, Sand, FDE, and Chocolate Brown.

Started as a pile o parts... N 18' SPR Barrel with matching Bolt, N 15" NQR, N Gen 1 Upper and Lower Receivers, N Carrier, and a G SSA-E.  Had a surplus A1 Stock that I was going to have refinished, but ended up getting a new A2.  Put a JP Silent Captured Spring in it since I will be running it suppressed.  Also changed the grip to a Larue.  I had him cote some KAC 11 Ribs Bazooka, but they didnt make it back...

LOVE the Mk12!

That's my plan for my DD upper with the 12" lite rail 2 (that the Noveske 10.5 replaced): rebarrel with a DD Mk12 barrel and gas block, and end up with an OEM Mk 12(ish) upper (mine will have the Surefire brake/supressor, though).

Quite a bit has changed since my last post in this thread. Couldn't decide whether to post here or in the mini-recce thread.

Edit: This rifle has a Noveske Afghan barrel, the Noveske CH, a Noveske Gen 1 lower, and the Noveske QD endplate. I think it fits in here.

Beautiful rifle. I like how the optic and rail are both like the DD shade of fde. What color did you use for the rail?

It's the FDE color that the user on here Ankrantz made to copy the DD RIS rails. I actually had an ACOG when I had the handguard cerakoted. I had no plans to get a Razor, so this just worked out really well.

Since it appears that not all things must be Noveske, here's mine.

LaRue Stealth upper with 11" rail, Noveske 12.5" barrel w/matched bolt, PWS YHM Phantom mount, Trijicon TA31RM04 on a GDI mount, Geissele SSA trigger

So mike Leland has been showing the 6.5 on his Instagram page it's either a 18 or 20inch barrel, I wonder if they'll do the 308 is some other than 12.5 and 16. I still would love to see a 20inch 308 n6

Ditched the MOE SL-K for an LMT SOPMOD. Also took off the Warden. The rifle balances much better now and this stock is exponentially better than the Magpul. This one locks up much tighter, doesn't wiggle, and is much more comfortable. I wish I just got one from the beginning.

Usually one to only deal in the clone stuff- but I've had this gen 3 lower sitting for quite a while and decided to do a pleasure SPR with it. Should be fun and can't wait to get it together!!

Lower is "Accuracy International FDE", love the greenish tone- looks super euro.

Upper will be a gen3 Noveske in "Magpul FDE"- I like the two tone look and it won't be tooooo much of a difference. I think it will look great.

16" Bartlien Bbl, LMT sopmod, NF NXS 2.5-10x32, atlas bipod.

Haven't decided on a rail yet-- thinking about a URX4 or a Geissele rail.

Will be running an RC2 so will either use a SFCT or a WARCOMP-CT.

Just got one of the new scalloped JBO selectors installed with some Colt ambi-selector screws.  I thought they looked better than the button cap screws.

I took a couple photos of this beaut, I'm trying to determine whether I should convert her into an infidel and go pure Noveske, or keep her as is. My dilemma is that as set up now with the wilson combat barrel, jp lwbcg, capt buffer, and brake, and syrac adjustable gas block, this is the softest recoiling, flatest shooting rifle that I have ever shot.  Its like you dont even know the trigger has been pulled except the sound.  I'd would just change the components to a new build, but Im torn.  I just have this recent urge to go pure noveske on this set.  I just have so many ARs that I dont shoot all the ones I have now.

As much as I think many of us would agree to make it all Noveske:
Leave.
It.
Alone.

You've got a great setup there, and there are times when finding that correct setting just works wonderfully.  I will qualify my statement about leaving it alone though, and I think a bead blasted barrel would look awesome under those handguards.
