Please excuse the poor iPhone picture.
I have used both rifles in 3-gun since our max range is 250 yards, but mainly the top rifle is my main gun. Both are mid-lenth gas, N-4 chrome lined barrels. 13' VTAC extreme rail on 16inch , 11" VTAC on 14.5 pinned. I'm currently using a SD3G trigger in the black rifle, I just got it so I am testing it out. I really like it so far. My main choice has been the DMR. Yes, I have not yet painted the Aimpoint R-1....  I do like the Burris Tac-30 a lot. I have shot it out to 450 yards in practice with good results. I like it so much I ordered a Cat-tail today.

NOVESKE N4 LIGHT OWNERS:  Can you guys measure what the barrel diameter is at: 1) behind the FS, 2) in front of the FSB, 3) behind the FSB 4) the middle of the barrel and 5) at the point before the contour gets bigger at the back of the barrel.

Just asking as I wanna compare the N4 light specs to the barrel I have, which follows the same idea of Noveske's improved contour.  Thanks!

ETA:  What I got using my crappy Lowes caliper: 1) 0.672, 2) 0.672, 3) 0.675, 4) 0.727 and 5) 0.776

ETA2:  Nice Noveske rifles!

Stickman,

I read that the newer Noveske rifles are going to come with the forged billet lower receiver...no additional charge. Is this true? Anyway, that was an after thought. I really wanted to ask you about switchblock configurations. I looked on Noveske's website. All of the switchblock models shown using the VLtor MUR upper come with a 9" free float handguard. What would it take to have a Noveske (switchblock) built with a 12.5" stainless steel barrel, VLtor MUR upper and 7" free float handguard? Why...you ask? Weight! That's why I'm going with an SBR and that's why I'm looking for the shorter rail. I'm looking for a rifle like the one in this pic but with the stainless steel barrel, 51T Blackout Flash Suppressor and Switchblock instead of the FSB.

My house was burglarized a week ago. My AR was stolen along with my Remington 700 bolt action .270 that my dad gave me as a child. $4,000 later...I need to purchase another SHTF defensive weapon. The one thing that I would've changed without a second thought is the weight of my rifle. After shooting my 16" AR with KAC handguard, VLtor stock and TA31-G ACOG, (amongst many other things) I realized how important it is to SAVE THE WEIGHT. I don't plan on running a suppressor due to the weight issue but it would be nice to have the ability to do so if desired. I would also replace the stock and grip with the Magpul CTR and MOE. What say you?

I meant to attach this to my above post.

Also...I tried, tried and tried to figure out who makes the forend rail for Noveske like the one in the above pic. All I came up with was Madbull. All of the "Madbull" stuff was also associated with freakin airsoft shit. So...does anyone know who makes the real 7" free float rail systems for Noveske?
