We did our monthly trip to the 1,000 yard range before hitting the major 3 guns for the month and I did some testing on the NSR handguard and the heat shields.
After shooting in the new Noveske Shooting Team 3 Gun Nation Pro Series Edition rifle out to 500, I loaded up some SureFire mags with 60 grain Vmaxs and did some rapid work. In our opinion the heat shield works pretty well.

The rifle as you see it weighs 6.51lbs unloaded. I honestly don't know what the muzzle velocity differences would be between the barrels... ETA: the 14.5" barrel with 13.5" rail just balances and feels perfect. So that would have to be my recommendation. |
