Dang, Nice!   That is very close to what I am working on.  I went with the Spikes Optimal 14.5 Middie.  I am holding out for the Mk16 Rail when they are available at a REASONABLE price.

Questions
1.  How does that BA Barrel shoot?  I almost ordered one.
2.  How do you like the Warcomp?  I plan on using one on mine too.

Nice, I wish I had known about the 14.0 barrels before so you can just pin a warcomp or 3 prong and still be closer to the rail than a 14.5"

I wish BA would make their Hansons with midlength gas though in these lengths

Only Geissele thing I have that's not a trigger.  I won it during one of the Team giveaways a few years ago.  It's a MK3

Haven't tried out anything for accuracy with that barrel. Got it yesterday morning, installed it, went to the range and zeroed red dot and some other drills. I might develop a handload for it, possibly use up my stockpile of 69gr SMKs.

Loving the Warcomp. This 14in Hansen is carbine length gas. It replaced a 14.5 colt socom. Both have the same sized gas port (I measured with drill bits). The Warcomp made this shoot very noticeably softer and flatter. I don't feel like it's a downside to having carbine gas and not middy.

However it might be interesting to cut down a 16in middy Hansen to 14in some day..

Thanks for the feedback.  I was on the fence about the Warcomp but your info helped me decide.  Let us know how the accuracy comes out.

@imdBman buy the Warcomp, it's quite legit. I have mine neutral timed and it works damn well for keeping the muzzle flat. Aside from the fact that it looks cool, you will be able to accommodate suppressors.

Also....figured I should include a photo of the entire build now that it's been a while since finished. Geissele SSP trigger by the way.

This started life as much more of a budget build....this is clearly no longer the case. SSA is inbound and should finish up the build. Attachment Attached File

Yup, MK8 X 9.5" rail. The barrel threads we're easily past the rail. Plenty space for the flash hider to clear.
