Anyone sent their SSA to Deeznuts Tactical to have it cut for an Arc Fire? It’s $60. How fast was the turn around and quality of the work? |

ARC Fire V2 Discussion Post #26 If you go to Page 9, post 26 in the above link, it is AS Designs responding to some negative posts regarding the machining of their Arc Fire V2. In their response they say that an outside supplier supplies some of there altered triggers, namely a company called DNT. I think it is actually Deez Nuts Tactical, just saying. |

They are simply nasty and disgusting. Any honorable machinist would be ashamed of the work done on these. I have an unused Hoffmann Super Safety that I purchased from Deez Nutz. The cut trigger in this kit looks exactly like the beaver gnawed triggers in my trigger bin. I have 2 unused ARC-Fire v. 1 FRTs that I purchased after the v.2 FRTs came out. They have the same nasty beaver gnawed triggers. (These two ARC-Fires v.1s will not be unused much longer; I just ordered 3 more G$ triggers today.) All of my nasty triggers share the profile of the trigger in the Deez Nutz FRT pouch. |

Sent in two new Geissele SD3G triggers. I see they upped their price from $40/trigger to $60/trigger now.  Only complaint I have is that I paid for them to be serviced along with some stuff from the deez nutz website (bought two of their geissele arcfire lever blockers and one of their flat trigger SS kits) which included shipping only to find out that the shipping I paid didn't cover the trigger service, just the parts I bought from them. You have to ship your triggers to a guy at a different location, pay for the shipping to him and include a return shipping label that you have to pay for for him to ship them back to you. So add on another $20 to cover shipping both ways, so I paid $50/trigger after all was said and done. Other than that, it took about a week to get them back. They looked good. I did had problems with the one of them, but between emailing them and AS designs (using their arcfire) I was able to get it sorted out eventually. |

You guys need to find someone in your area who has cut some G$ triggers and have a cutting party. Remember when we had build parties when the Clinton ban sunsetted? Some folks weren't sure how to assemble a lower or an upper. The parties provided the expertise. I still have a couple of build parties a year at my house to introduce newbies to the BRD. I've done a dozen of my G$ triggers and ARC-fires and just bought 3 more G$ triggers to go with two ARC-Fire v.1s that I bought on sale. (Now I'm short an ARC-Fire! Off to look for another sale.) If my counting off the top of my head is correct, that will be 15 G$ triggers when I'm done shaping them. I can understand the hesitancy and fear of ruining a G$ trigger. I suffered from it. Way back when we were just beginning to cut G$ triggers, I bought a cut G$ SSA to serve as a paradigm. But, if you watch someone do it, you'll see that it is a piece of cake. I am not ashamed to admit that I am still careful when I cut a trigger, assembling a number of times and removing material slowly. I'm in no hurry. This is a hobby, not my livelihood. Once fitted, I consider each G$ trigger and ARC-Fire married. Tolerance stacking is a thing. That cut G$ SSA trigger that I bought? I assembled it in several lowers with a couple of different ARC-Fires just to see how things would go. I like to experiment. I change triggers and other parts on my ARs like some women change shoes. The G$ trigger worked in a number of lowers, but then one SSA/ARC-Fire combination was a no-go. It failed the function test. Rather than to mess with it, I pulled that combination apart and used the SSA in a lower where it functioned. I assembled another trigger, a G$ G2s that I cut, into that same no-go lower with the same LPK parts, and it runs famously. Go figure. |

Dude...it is soooo easy. There is literally a visual guide built into the side of the trigger bar for where to cut...hardened tool steel so it goes slow, honestly, I can fuck anything up, and I don't think I could fuck up a G$ SS cut. But I am sure you can buy one from AS designs, and DNT does cut them. They are expensive so I get it. Just no way I would pay what AS wants for a precut when I buy my G$ triggers on sale, $60 for the service is not horrible...I just think people don't realize how easy it is. I did not. |
