I did buy a brand new bolt and carrier that came in a generic container but has what looks like a noveske iron cross on it. It came with a semi auto carrier. I also installed an h3 buffer. I installed it in a police surplus M and P that used to be my bump fire gun. I'm going to try some different uppers, bolt/carriers and buffers Friday. The partisan trigger sure seems like a quality part and mine does have what seem like normal selector detents. Fascinating. First we've heard of something like this with thousands of units shipped. Any further info you can provide, and pictures, would be great. The rarebreed hits the firing pin harder. I couldn't even get the Partisan to work in an MCX Virtus because of this. I sent you an e-mail asking for heavier hammer springs if you recall. What trip are you running, by the way? I think I had it lubed well enough. Keep in mind there is also a firing pin spring to overcome in the MCX Virtus and Spear LT. I've tried several different trip bars. The Partisan Disruptor is pickier than the RB. One of the one's I tried, that worked with the RB and Az Regulator, wouldn't move the lever (that interacts with the carrier/trip bar) forward enough on the Partisan to enable it to fire. |
|
I went out for round 3 and it worked fine, one shot single shot, bursts and mag dumps. I didn't have any more problems. I still don't get why it wasn't firing the first round even when it was shoved in with the forward assist, regardless of the spring and buffer. The Colt H buffer and spring had if chugging along. I put the m and p back together, except with a Noveske bolt carrier and Colt spring and H buffer. |

My second Partisan has arrived. Ordered from Cloak on Dec 15. It still has the weak selector detent holes, but it does not have the unexplained lettering on the lever. The trigger pull is identical to my first Partisan: Glock-like. It’s light, which is nice, but not crisp. And like a Glock, after you’ve fired a round and release the trigger to reset, and hold at that wall, it has a decently crisp break. When my second Griffin 60/120 selector arrives, and I’ve sent them to Gorton87 for his magic, they’ll be going into my two Partisans. My third Partisan is coming from Optics Planet, and is supposed to come with the new and improved factory selector. I am excited! Attached File |

I don’t and have never seen one in person. I’ve shot an AR-15 converted to full auto (not sure of the method used by the SOT) before but the trigger slap made me hate it so that’s what I’m concerned about. |

But 18 of those were in the last couple hundred rounds. What is 5 out of 11000, and how much of that could be ammo? I agree with you, but the numbers matter. Also of note, using .223 ammunition with softer primers we have had zero issues here. We created the worst case scenario (dirty weapons and hard primer ammunition) on purpose. Also, your math is bad. 23 of 12000 is a 0.0019% failure rate. Not 0.2%. At 10,000 rounds we were at 8 FTF. That equals a 0.0008% failure rate. |

I still carry trauma from the old American semi auto ak triggers. On the disruptor, I notice the reset "bump" in regular semi auto but it's nothing that id describe as "slap", just a noticeable bump. I don't even notice it on spicy semi auto. |

I don’t notice the trigger slap on the Partisan at all, and that’s one that actually does kick the trigger forward in semi auto. In an ARC-Fire, or Atrius, there is no kick forward at all in semi, only in FRT mode. |

Do you often go 1k rounds without cleaning or having the ability to perform immediate action? For simplicity's sake, that's like taking a two day carbine course and having one FTF the entire course. That's pretty much par for the course. or, in your words, heads I get through this combat load (7 mags) with no tap rack bang, tails I do it once. Id strongly suggest never looking at military acceptance trials for your favorite rifle if you're hung up on numbers. |

It will be interesting to see if the trigger from Takedown Tool arrives before the one from Optics Planet. If the Disruptor is really as described by other paying customers here - mushy selector, long semi auto pull, light hammer spring etc. - I may cancel the second trigger order in favor of the better options already readily available. |

Agreed, you should cancel your 2nd order. That may be best. |

The Atrius Super Selektor/Battlehawk Golden Hawk 3.5lb combination gave me a fantastic trigger pull but started misbehaving after shooting it in a match - I think it was just debris in the trigger cassette and the problem seems to have resolved itself, but I’d want to put a lot more rounds downrange to confirm before recommending it. My DTT (Rare Breed design) has been great, though the semi-auto trigger is inferior to any of the super selector options. Lastly, for clone-correct applications, the best choice is the AZ Regulator 3-Position. Semi-auto pull sucks, but mine has been 100% reliable and looks perfect in my M16 clone. All of the above were easy drop-ins. No fitting needed. |

What is considered a better option? The ARC Fire has an okay mil spec trigger pull, and can be upgraded to a Geissele, buy the military style selectors and a lever blocker. It’s over 500 bucks all in, but it’s the top of the line. Atrius Super Selektor with a Rise Armament Rave 140 cassette trigger is my second place recommendation. A very light, crisp single stage pull. |
| I like the Cornfire MARC. Comes with the mil-style safety lever, doesn’t require a cut trigger and can be upgraded to a better trigger provided there is some homework involved which I didn’t do since I was happy with the mil-spec trigger pull. Price is only $199. |

Math is not my strong suit either ... I assume your referring to a 7) 30-round mag load-out. 210 rounds *.002 = about .4 FTS stoppage in the heat of things... hmmm, really not something to worry about at the range. but which half of the jam you get might make a difference ... |

Correct - that’s the calculation I did. I don’t know that the reported failure rate at the end of an endurance test as described is of much consequence, but Ben raised the point so I did the math. From the initial reports that the trigger pull is long and Glock-like, Partisan may have gone lighter on the hammer spring to improve the trigger feel. If so, it's a poor trade… I’d prefer reliable ignition and correct function in blowback applications , even if I have to live with a slightly heavier trigger pull. For now I’m reserving judgment until I receive my example. |
| The Partisan hammer has less felt resistance at hammer forward than an RB or even a GS semi, as felt by my calibrated thumb. The cassette design necessitates fewer coils on that spring, as compared to a stock trigger arrangement as the body of the cassette takes up space between the sidewalls of the lower. This certainly does not account for hammer mass (or other rotational variables) and actual fp impact. I only looked at this as the Partisan would not ignite 22L rims for me. Works perfectly for me in centerfire. |

| I got mine installed and have function tested. The trigger pull seems light but definitely gritty. I hope it will clean up after use. It seems to function correctly in the FRT setting. The selector is terrible, almost no perceptible detent especially between semi and FRT. I would say this is by far the worst selector I've ever had. |

| I got my first Disruptor today (BattleHawk, second batch) and just threw it in a 9mm AR that had an SS previously. Very easy install, and it function tests perfectly. What I wasn't expecting is that it is forced reset on semi, but you have to let off further to get hammer reset. I guess we will see if I even notice when I live fire it. The trigger reset in fast-semi is very forceful and I can barely feel any resistance when I pull the charging handle. |

It seems to function correctly in the FRT setting. The selector is terrible, almost no perceptible detent especially between semi and FRT. I would say this is by far the worst selector I've ever had. This mirrors my experience with my four first-run Partisan Disruptor triggers. I purchased them within 20 minutes of being dropped just after midnight. The only reason why it took me 20 minutes instead of 5 is because the Battle Hawk website was so wonky that I had to reenter my information numerous times. If I hadn't wanted the Disruptor triggers so badly, I would never have persisted. I suppose that might be why I am so disappointed now. The triggers have not lived up to their hype. Battle Hawk did clean up their website the next day and it appears even better now. It looks like they listened to us as we mentioned our difficulties. They did ship in a timely manner. Because of the faulty selectors, I was only able to dry fire. I described my triggers to my wife as a long gritty pull with no clean break. I wasn't able to figure out when the break would come. I am unable to describe any of mine as a light pull, not even for a single-stage. Perhaps the grittiness colors my perspective. I run everything wet, so the triggers are well oiled. I suppose that they fall in the promised pull range of 3.75+ pounds, so I am not complaining. I bought these assuming that I'd add some LATs when they come out. These Disruptors have never been anything more than an interim step for me. My selectors were the absolute worst I have ever seen or used in approaching 6 decades of experience on the M16 and AR15 platforms. Not only were they mushy, making it impossible to be certain that they were in the "fire" position, but the selectors wobbled and could inadvertently be easily moved out of position with a slight bump. They were not safe to use. In a self-defense situation I might think that my weapon was in "fire" when in fact it had moved from that position. So, I have four weapons sidelined until I get new selectors. I say that my selectors "were" the worst I've ever seen. Past tense is employed because they have been thrown away. They were unsafe and unusable. I'm looking forward to receiving the promised functioning selectors. I'm anxious to hit the range with them. When the LAT triggers come out, I'll buy some of them. But, I won't be a guinea pig again. I'll wait until the kinks have been worked out before purchasing any. |

I just put mine in a FN M4 lower. It function tests fine, but the supplied pins are short enough in this lower that I don’t want to use them - they will mark up the lower, and while I don’t mind honest wear that’s something I would prefer to ignore. The RB pins I have are longer and seem to be long enough, but what I really want is the CLAP pin set and I will probably hold off firing this until they are available. My selector is fine, but I’m using a Gorton87 modified Colt style ambi. @Ben, do you have an ETA for selling CLAP? |
