Hello all, this is my first post, been a longtime lurker however. Recently I decided to do yet another build and its been quite some time, the last one was close to 20 years ago after my discharge from the military. Started looking into several vendors and came across quite a few that are described as "best to avoid". However one that I have not found a whole lot of mention on is Right to Bear Arms and Supply, they advertise as being vet owned which is something I tend to support being one myself. The thing that I'm not quite sure on is, while they have several outstanding deals available the descriptions are conflicting with what goes in the cart. I have since attempted numerous calls over the last couple of weeks, all of which go straight to VM, email has gone unanswered and no response to my initial VM. I only left the one as I tend to think that most folks don't care to be bombarded with VM's from the same individual repeatedly. What I am most curious about is while they have a direct link to the forum on their site its certainly not as active as one would think, with the most recent question directed towards them last year in October and yet unanswered. So thinking it would be wise to actually speak with someone there prior to placing and order given the cart descriptions and listing description don't quite match I am now faced with a complete lack of response from them. Has anyone had any recent dealings with them and was it a positive experience or are they simply no longer around but the site still is? At this point I'm not sure and while I would much rather support a veteran owned business I'm starting to wonder if the silence is one of those red flag situations and I would be better served looking elsewhere. Not to sound like an ass, but I think you already answered your own question. Go with your gut on this.one. If they're not responsive now, you know they won't be if there's ever a problem with an order. As a veteran, I like to support veterans. But at the end of the day, you're spending your hard earned money. Do you want to spend it with someone, that while being a veteran, doesn't have an established track record or with a non veteran owned company with a stellar track record? |

| This is RightToBear.com? I have purchased from them several times. The only time I had a minor issue was one order was missing an A2 ejection port cover and after sending them a note about it, the missing part was in the mail the next day. Granted I've never had to try contacting them on the phone to ask technical questions, but all of my other dealing with them have been positive. |

No worries, you don't come across like an ass, good solid points. Pretty much my line of thought. Companies, no matter how good, do make mistakes and it would be a nice thing to know beforehand that they take their business seriously. But from what I have already experienced and what I noticed on their forum page is what spurred me to finally post and ask questions. Out of curiosity, what vendors out there are actually solid to deal with? This is my first time going the online route since the local brick and mortar I historically dealt with closed several years ago when the owner passed and his kids had no interest in continuing the business. |
