I would just buy an 18" rifle length barrel and do a setscrew conversion on a take-off FSB. Other option is to send it to ADCO or similar to have FSB pinned.

Ballistic Advantage will do it. Just add the FSB in the drop down menu. Definitely don't pay full price though. Wait for a sale (Labor Day, Black Friday) or make an account and then put it in your cart. Then wait a few days and they'll send you a coupon code.
I got a BA 18" 5.56 SPR with an FSB for like $150 on Black Friday sale last year. It shoots really well but it is HEAVY. 18" Criterion Cores are in stock a lot of places. Get one and send to Retro Arms to have a FSB pinned.

Thanks for the responses. I have a couple of gunners that I like, I'll probably end up sending another off to get the FSB installed.

I have a 18 inch criterion core i used. Bought it of the ee and had John Thomas pin it with a fixed front sight for a retro build. Turned out amazing and shoots great. I have a hard time posting pics from my phone you can IM me if ypu want to see a pic of it.
