I hunt almost exclusively here at home (under 10 acres), and see plenty of deer until opening day of the November season, when neighbors down in the bottoms shoot/scare them before they come up to pass through my place. I'm hoping to take advantage of more opportunities, so I recently sold a shotgun and bought this crossbow. I'm also going to get one of those single Primos shooting sticks, because I sold my first crossbow years ago due to them being too front-heavy for me to hold them up and steady. (Disabled/bad back and arms. My original crossbow was a Barnett Commando recurve).

I just shot my crossbow for the first time. (Two shots).

I set the target up, then backed off in the Rzr.

The first shot was from sitting in the Rzr, which is the one closest to the bullseye, and the second was from standing next to the Rzr.

good luck and have fun with the crossbow. i just picked up a ravin R26 so i do the same thing and hopefully get a deer in my yard before my neighbors get them all

I think you will have a lot of success hunting in the archery season vs gun season. Get a range finder and set up some TRPs. It is a must!

I love shooting crossbow and really started to nerd-out with arrow weight.

Might be worth dropping into the “death by bunjie” YouTube page. Fairly down to earth guy that has enjoyable content over the past few years.
