Am I cooked? Trying to do pain management and honestly feel like it’s all due to my desk job but this shit hurts…

Anyone have a good PT plan to help a fella out?

4 years ago I had the same issue and had to get cortisone shots (2). I'm going through it again now and Oct 1 is the start of my season. I'm scheduled for another shot on the 11th.
Rest, stretch and buy a compression strap.

Bow for hunting or recreation?  Can you crossbow hunt in Michigan instead?

I would think that repetitive draw and release would be a constant stress to the tendons, so your inflammation will never go completely away.  Can your medical provider recommend some stretching exercises to reduce the strain on your elbow?

Just had my second episode.

Both times it took a cortisone injection to get my arm back in service.

Lifting a coffee cup for a drink would bring tears to my eyes but I could do most of my weight lifting routine with minor discomfort, oddly enough.

I will try the exercises 2-3 times a week from now on and see if that keeps it from coming back.

Have you identified how you injured it?

I think I had a combination of sleeping with my arm in an awkward position and getting too aggressive pulling the garden hose off of the reel.

I’ve got about 4 pages of exercises that I got from doctor after the first shot.
If you PM me your email address I can send you copies.
He also had me get a Theraband,
It’s like a rubber billy stick.

Good luck.

My left elbow will get incredibly sore, mostly from sleeping on it wrong judging by how it will start in the morning. Almost impossible to get it straightened out with out pain. I just shoot through it. It is miserable for maybe the first ten shots then it goes away.

3 to 5lb dumbell, grip with it finger tips only, let it hang/dangle naturally off your side and hold it for 45 seconds...rest the same amount time...repeat at least 3x, eventually working up to 60 seconds each round.  Going to suck at first, but is about the only that helped mine without getting a shot.  Reason it works, it is actually working the tendons that typically don't get much attention doing other activities.
