mine is getting brittle or what ever, an is starting ta tear where it conects... is their a place were ya can get the tubing or would it just be cheaper ta go get new sight? any suggestions... signed getting tired of getting

is their any way to make it last longer? think it may be driyng out? any tips ta keep that from happening?

This is one of the reasons I love being able to work on my own bows. I ditched the tube a while back.
With a broken in string, you can set the peep in there so it's always straight at draw by swapping the strands until it's straight. A tubeless bow is a quieter bow and you don't have all the worries about the tube wearing out, breaking, pulling off, etc. |
| that's what i was doing with me 60# bow... lets just say, not one of my brighter moments... thats why usen my 70# bow... should have just switched the tie down, but noooo... one of them what was i thinking moments... on thee 60# bow it has cable then string in middle, didn't have bow press so used string an hooked on the extra cable ends, puled back loosened bow string, gave it twist or two, hopen ta salve problem, pulled back on other string ta rehook bow sting, an oppp's... some beach... |
I ditched rubbers years ago . Seriously, if you spend a little time with the string and peep sight you can use one without the rubber band and will never have any problems. most of the time I can get the string balanced enough to never have to touch the peep. The worst I've had was on one setup I had to turn the peep by hand and it would stay in place until I shot, then I'd have to realign it before the next shot. This seems like alot of messing around, but after a few times it becomes second nature and you do it without realizing it.
