| Someone said on another site Gemtax is the tax you have to pay(another $200) if you damage your tube/serialized part thanks to gemtech petitioning the ATF to rule in stopping aac from rebuilding gemtechs cans with aac parts. Or something like that. I didnt know it also meant Gemtech paid $200 on the silencer of the month. Cool. I'd like the Alpine. |

Want a quick detach that I can use on both my AR's that are 5.56/.223 |

Good marketing by Gemtech took the bad and used it to create a good. Good marketing by Gemtech. As for the story, I won't even open that can. Research and you will find at least 2 sides.

Kel GEMTECH TEAM GUY ARFCOM INDUSTRY DISCLOSURE: As a former International Affairs major in college (Elliott School, George Washington University in DC, thanks for asking) I overdosed on politics early in life and am now pretty out of that loop. But I remember walking by the IRS building on Constitution Ave (and sometimes 650 Mass Ave, for that matter, on my way through Chinatown to the old 9:30 Club to catch a show) a lot on my way around the district. Like most taxpayers, there was always some fleeting antipathy when I caught sight of that distinctive brown, wavy IRS sign. Funny to think that one day, I'd be strangely looking forward to April 15th and tax season. |

Jeremy The TREK is made in all-titanium (other than the inconel blast baffle insert). It was introduced at SHOT this year along with the TREK, and its model designation is TREK-T. In .223, the minimum barrel length for the TREK is 10.4 inches. When used as intended (.223/5.56mm), our experience has been that not only is cleaning the interior of the suppressor unnecessary (the high flame temperature tends to burn out carbnon), but cleaning can be detrimental. For this reason, we do not endorse any cleaning agent for centerfire rifle suppressors. Damage from use of these agents is the user's responsibility. |

i bet it would cycle. the barrle is fixed. BUT with the barrel being so thin it could allow it to flex the barrel slightly and cause the slide to bind on the barrel. THATS why you hear of some probs with 22 pistols and weight on the end of the barrel. because if anything weight(without barrel flexing) should aid in cycling as the action should absorb more energy thus helping to work the slide instead your hand and such absorbing it and robbing the slide of its energy. this is why id like for some of the mfrs to make those pencil thin barrels a little bigger with a more substantial barrel-to-frame mount thats more rigid.
