I'm also interested, but I'll put the same condition as I put on the RFB, no threaded barrel, no sale. all the Modular Carbines have threaded barrels........ didnt you know that? If it takes much longer, Obama will say no. The current MSAR's have threaded barrels, the new PC rifles (to be announced right after Obama bans the current crop) most likely won't. That's what I meant, more of a subtle "huryy up" than a feature request. yeah.... and if a frog had wings he wouldnt bump his ass when he jumped! |

A bunch of stuff we simple civilians can't own and stuff that we can own if we're willing to pay about $500 more than what's it worth for that "HK" stamp. Even if the HK 416 and/or 417 at long last come to civilian market they're a day late and a few hundred dollars over most budgets. Many US companies providing what HK should have years ago. |

Any pictures or news from SHOT 09? Does this thing exist and when will we be able to purchase? I walked thru the booth twice today and I didn't see the pistol carbine in there at all. It's not in the new catalog they gave out either. Plenty of the new mags, the new carbine that takes AR mags and some glass cases in the center of the MSAR tent with knives. Maybe I just missed it but I don't think so. |

What did the rifle that took AR mags (E4) look like? Was it any different than the Gen IV STG other than the fact that it took AR mags? They've hinted that it has some improved internals by saying that there is more to it than just the STANAG stock addition. Why doesn't someone there just talk to one of our people who is working the booth and ask? Or I guess we can wait until they get back from SHOT. |

They've probably been going balls out to crank out every STG they can to meet the explosion in demand since November. If I was MSAR I would take my line and switch it to MCS right now when I can sell STG''s like they were selling life vests to drowning people. |
| I have no idea why nobody has seen the MCS at this years show. I spent 3 hours wednesday night helping with the assembly of the new prototype. Maybe it's being hidden until tomorrow (drama/theatrics). When they finally decide to show it, you'll notice it easily. It has a gray stock |

Wanted to ask about it butbthe guys were busy with knives. Those things were selling like hotcakes. lol Did see the stg with the pmag. There goes my excuse for not getting one.

Tony Jr. showed it to me. You must have forgotten to give the super-secret ARFCOM handshake with the $100 bill... 
This is all hush hush so don't tell anybody...But I'll tell you guys...Redesigns include bottom ejection behind the magwell, giant BHO release lever, removed the crossbar take-down piece and now use a simple front left button that seperates receiver from stock lickity split. Chamber end of barrel is now a three lug type design. It is in final proto-type phase and they hope to release it this spring. In MSAR speak that should equate to summer/fall. First ones will be black, then green. Maybe even a tan one if there is enough interest. Possible limited edition kit with a Glock later on down the road.
The reason it was not on display is that the prototype had a "special" two-piece stock and that is not the way Tony wanted it remembered.

Does anyone know the release date for the MCS? They have to build one first. I was told they hope to have production models out in the spring. Should be able to get an update in Phoenix at NRA. The BHO is now oversized (about as big as a square Quarter) and looks like it is much less likely to snag on clothing or whatever like the original. As a lefty, it looks functional for us too. |

I am concerned about bottom eject on a bullpup...will it be burning your arm?
I am just thinking of when I shoot the 5.556 model with a 42rd mag....my forearm seems to ride the side of the mag.....if that is the approximate location of the ejection port????? Maybe I am not thinking of this right.....anyones input? I guess a PS90 is a bottem ejecting bullpup...... |
| I did not see a problem with it burning you. It may however drop an occasional empty case in your front pocket if it flops open. Being left handed and since most shirts with pockets only have them on the left side, it won't bother most of you. Buy shirts with pocket flaps and you will be ok. |

Yes, but bottom ejection solves the issue of 'getting brass in your face as a lefty' and bolt travel is inconsequential, espciaally in a blowback- a long recoil stroke witha proper spring will soften the recoil a bit. Remeber, this is a straight blowback desing, not a locking bolt desing so they likely can fit a very short bolt into a stock of the same length as the 'normal' AUG stock. |
