Got a little angry in here didnt it

The 7.5" is a great upper.  But if I had to run out of my house in a SHTF situation it would be the last rifle I'd personally grab.  Theres no doubt in my mind that a 5.56 round coming out of a 7.5" barrel would do major damage, and I certainly wouldnt want to be on the receiving end, no matter which type of ammo is being used.  The day the military is using 5.56 in 7.5" barrels is the day that I'll change my opinion.

One other point I'll bring up is that a 7.5" upper is brutal compared to longer uppers, no matter how manly you are. (I'm not talking about sound levels) My aimpoint Comp M2 works flawlessly on any length upper, aside from a 7.5" upper with a FA BCG and an H buffer.  The aimpoint literally turns off then back on almost every round that is fired; the recoil is just too much for it.  I then put the aimpoint on a 10.5" upper and no problems at all.

Your Aimpoint is broken.

No reason it should do that.

If that's so, the problem only reveals itself during the recoil of a 7.5" barrel.  Broken or not it works flawlessly on a 10.5" upper.

your aimpoint shouldn't do that at all , sounds like battery contacts or something is a bit "loose".  it should take the recoil of a 50 cal or a 12 ga no problem.

Thats what I figured(battery contacts)...it does have the extended battery compartment...so maybe somethings up with that.  But I havent bothered with it since I dont use it on the 7.5 upper anyways.  It works fine on the 10.5", so in regards to using it where it will always stay, there isn't any problem.
My only point is that the recoil IS different between the two barrel lengths.  Whether or not my Comp M2 is broken, the recoil on one length affects it, while the other does not.

Im not being defensive, or an asshole to either guys that said my sight is broken, it certainly appears that somethings wrong....so I hope Im not coming off like that-I'm just trying to explain that the barrel lengths indeed have a noticeably different recoil.

Yes. Yes it is.

It was even worse when I had a Troy Claymore on my 7.5".

My 7.5" has very little recoil, perhaps because it's a piston gun?

i have 7.5 with cqb flash suppressor.    just make sure to make the flash and noise go forward instead of side way brakes.

Does hanging a 7.3oz, 2.6" muzzle device on a 7.5" barrel mitigate the benefits of going that short?

I have to imagine that a 10.3/10.5" barreled upper with an A2 FH would end up being lighter and more handy,

Haha this is what I always think of when guys put flaming pigs, Troy claymores and that horrid thing on their 7.5" barrels.

88 Sahara....yea that's exactly why.

There was a pig on mine when I got it and I took it off immediately. I replaced it with the shortest brake I could find.

This. I started making a CQB/pig style device at work but quickly abandoned the project. I was making it out stainless but I thought this was a kind of waste anyhow.

Nice, PWS makes some great guns.  The Mod 1 Diablos just don't have the same character as the Mod 0.  I haven't seen any without the Triad on them yet.
