I've spent $3600 in NFA stamps (18 NFA items). Of those 18, I still have all of them - I've never sold an NFA item.

EDIT: There's going to be some staggering amounts here for sure...

EDIT2: In before the "not today, Mr. ATF" before those potential commenters realize how ironic it would be to post that in THIS thread - since, quite obviously - you've already voluntarily given all this info to the ATF.

I am not sure of the total amount I have spent over the past 20+ years.

There have been a decent number of machineguns which were two stamps transfers being out of State Form 4 purchases, a small number of guns I paid the tax when I bought them and then sold them off, and in a couple of cases I paid the outbound tax when they were sold or traded as well.

However, I think its pretty safe to say that I am $20,000+ in Form 1 or Form 4 NFA tax stamp payments in my lifetime.

I stopped counting at 21 stamps. That was two years ago. I’ve bought more suppressors and made more sbrs since then.

being in CT its tough to play nfa at times. certain firearms i cant have...when i can drive 4 hours away and the gun i want is on the shelf...

Just checked my scanned forms. 32 suppressors, 13 SBR's and one machinegun. So I was a bit off when I said $8k earlier. It's $9200 in approved forms. Another $200 on a form 1 machinegun the ATF approved then denied.

More than I expected when I first filed a F1 back in 1999 - that's for sure. These days I have a large binder filled with laminated copies of my NFA paperwork. There are enough that I had to add tabs to categorize them by weapon type.

That's as close as I'm going to say.
