It ain't much, but it's my first lever action, a Heritage, (Rossi) 92 in 357. I changed the rear sight to a flatter one, can't stand buckhorns, added a buttcuff from Mernickle and after the picture was taken, a lever wrap from Mernickle as well. The leather butt wrap really kept the rifle right where it belongs, and since I had never really shot a lever gun before, I had no idea how much the lever wrap helps cushion that throw. Yes, I had no idea until that last match...it appears I have the butt wrap with the lacing backwardsoops.
I have shot in two SASS matches with the 92 now, one practice and one real, and IF I remember to not short stroke it, she works perfectly. I also was NOT prepared for just how light this rifle is, that blew me away. Break in was FAST, only took two range session to break things in, especially the magtube. I really fought that spring that first range trip, darn near got my finger caught in there - THAT would have been hard to explain! Now to get my gunsmith buddy to get his Marlin 357 and we can go javalina hunting.

Attached File Attached File Went from Henry rifles to Marlins. SBL in 357 with YHM r9 direct thread, and GBL 45-70 with Hybrid 46 and rearden. I'm honestly really impressed with the accuracy on the GBL. It stacks 325 Leverevolution at 100. |

1894SBL in 44 Mag, Leupold VX Freedom 1.5-4 with Pig Plex reticle, Vortex Pro 1” low rings. Removed the rear ghost ring sight to mount the optic. I get a good cheek weld and good eye relief. Attached File |

1952 Marlin 336 in .30-.30 with the old Weaver K3 60-B on it. Came from estate of a distant family member. Somehow this wasn't picked up by the closer family members so I feel lucky to have it. Attached File |

 My Rossi 92 in .357. It was fun but finicky stock. I did the spring kit, some internal polishing to help with loading, cut down the buckhorn rear sight, and installed some Williams peeps. Everything works great now. No more frustration when loading and my old eyes can see the front bead now.  It's a fun little rifle. |

My first lever action, pretty tame compared to some of the other rifles in here!! It's a Henry Model X, in .357. But, it'll be getting a rail, some sort of sight, and most likely a light to hang off the front. It's gonna be my new camping rifle, which is a lot less stressful when I cross over into enemy territory (California). I knew as soon as I took it out of the store, I was gonna want another one, and I haven't even shot it yet!!. I'm looking for a 45-70 next!! Attached File |

He bought it from a neighbor in 1982 for $50. The neighbor had it sitting in the basement leaning against a stud, so my dad asked about it. The neighbor bought it new a few years before and his wife was not happy. So dad offered him $50 for the rifle and ammo. It hadn’t been shot. 1974 model. In my teens I got to shoot some deer with it. I know I have shot a total of 8 rounds from 3 rounds sighting in and 5 deer taken. I am guessing my dad maybe shot 20 rounds through it. Spent most of its life in the gun cabinet, I am going to use the hell out of it. As for the Jack sorry, my liver said it could process a bit more. |

This is an excellent rifle from Marlin. I oiled a few moving parts to smooth out the cycling. Hope to shoot it outdoors soon with the suppressor. The Red Dot has a see through mount. I can reload .357 magnum subsonic with 158gr bullets.  |

I wanted a .460 magnum. I love my .460 revolver because I can shoot .454 and .45 colt. But at least I have this in .454. |

I have one I want to put on this Henry .44 but am curious how it will fit. 4.9" of eye relief, iirc; my initial plan was to get an extended rail from RPP, use Leupold low rings and hopefully just barely clear the rear sight. Attached File 16" Henry .22lr, .44 Magnum Henry X with a Ranger Point Precision handguard, also has an 18650 Streamlight Polytac in an Odin Works mount now. I had to do some fussing with the light in the mount to avoid pushing against the HG, I didn't have a problem with it on an AR15. |
