Picked up a Howa 6mm Creedmoor sporter today.  Will use it for deer, antelope, and coyotes.  Dies are on order.  Anyone have any pet loads I can start with?  I'll probably use 90 or 95 grain bullets.  Powders I have on hand:
RL 16
RL17
RL19
H4350
H4831SC
IMR 4064

That's a 6.5 Creed thread.

This thread is on 6mm Creed.

I would try the RL16.  It works great in my 6x47L which has a smaller case than the 6CM but should still give good results.

H4350 seems to be THE powder for 6mm cartridges.  If you have some, you probably need look no further.

I shoot 6XC, so it's a different cartridge but pretty close.  I use H4350.  I've tried IMR4831 as an alternate but only with the heavier, 107 gr bullet.  I have also tried Ramshot HUNTER as a ball powder alternate.  Hunter allows you to throw the charges because it meters so well.

HODGDON WEB SITE DATA -

90 gr SFT SCIR

H4350:  40.2 gr to 43.7 gr
IMR4064: 35.7 gr to 38.9 gr
HUNTER: 40.0 gr to 44.4 gr  <-- this data is from Ramshot not Hodgdon; everything else is Hodgdon data

95 gr BER VLD TRGT
H4350:  39.5 gr to 44.0 gr
IMR4064:  35.9 gr to 39.0 gr

107 gr Sierra MatchKing
H4350: 37.5 gr to 41.3 gr
HUNTER:  37.1 gr to 41.2 gr  <-- this data is from Ramshot not Hodgdon; everything else is Hodgdon data

Rl16 with a 95gr bullet is the magic powder for my Savage 243 so I will probably start with it and H4350 to see which one this new rifle likes best.

Anybody making creedmoor brass out of 22-250 cases?  I have a metric shit ton of those.

Let me tell you of my adventure in wildcat forming of brass for my 6XC.  I made two batches both starting from the same lot of virgin Remington 220-250 brass.  These were done before 6XC was available from anyone.

The first batch was formed in one pass through the die, as instructed.  I fire-formed this brass within a few months using it for rapid fire strings in matches.  It was excellent and is still in use today.

The second batch was also formed in one pass.  This batch sat on the shelf unused for a couple of years (not loaded and not fire-formed).  When I finally got around to loading and shooting the second batch, about 75% of the cases ruptured either at the neck or in the shoulder or both.

I tried annealing the formed but empty cases from the second batch but the results were the same - 75% failure rate with the same failure modes.  There is some reason to believe annealing at a higher temperature than I used may provide the needed softening (1,000 F versus 750 F).  I have not yet bothered to try, as I have a bunch of good cases.

Recommendations -

Try it!  Do you know the sequence of operations to get from 22-250 to 6 Creedmoor?  Is that the proper parent case to make 6 Creedmoor?

Use Imperial Sizing Die Wax.  IMO, it is the best out there.

Start slowly with a small test batch (~50 cases, maybe a little less).  Be sure to load and fire-form ASAP.

I hope this helps in some way.

Have you compared the two cartridge drawings?

I spent some time finding the two and looking them over.

What I have found is my 6cm duplicates my 243win loads almost exactly.
I use 4064 and h100v along with Hunter.
From 60-105 gr bullets I have used.

I found Hornady brass cheap enough so I'll go that route.  Might try to make some outta 22-250 just for fun.

6mm Creedmoor usually has a faster twist rate to stabilize heavier bullets - even up to the 115 grain VTACs.

The 243 is usually slower, and often limited to 90 grain or less.

I remember reading that Hornady brass was of poor quality.  I don't recall the details of why it was said or even where I read it (likely here).  It could have been it just wasn't Lapua quality.

No factory brass is more expensive than wildcatting and having cases fail during fire forming.

A word to the wise - check it out before spending heavily.

Varget works well for me in 6mm Remington handloads across a pretty wide bullet weight range, especially with lighter to medium weight and with RL19 or even RL22 on the heavy end.

Can't say whether these would be a good choice in the 6 CM case.  Case capacity should be similar although the 6 Rem has a much more tapered case and more shallow shoulder.

Why limit your choice to 95gr bullets? I have a 6mm Grendel (6mm FATRAT) and routinely shoot 107 Sierras. I only shoot 95s at the 300 yard stage of HP matches. The 107 class bullets would be the shit in a 6mm Creedmoor.

Loaded some test rounds with RL16 and H4350 and Berger 105 VLD Hunting.  Now if itll dry out a little bit so I can go shoot.  Rifle acts like it will be a shooter with Hornady factory 108 Match.

For what it's worth, I've replaced H4350 with RL16 in my 6.5 Creedmoors.

Not only is it easier to find, I get higher MV.
from what I hear from those that have seen the numbers, RL16 is actually more temperature stable.

Test loads showed a favor to hot loads of H4350.  42.0 grains was most accurate.  Right at 1/2 inch for 3 shots. That's right at max but I didnt have any pressure signs and temps were in the 90's.  I've got 10 more loaded to see if she'll hold that kind of accuracy.  Near max loads of RL16 were under an inch so that will be my back up.

I'm using Berger 105 VLDH.  I'm in the lands at 2.875 but theres not enough bullet in the case for bearing surface so Im loading to 2.800".

I may get some 115 VLDH and try those too.  I've definitely got enough room for them and my twist is 1:7.

Not a Howa, but the bartlein barrel I chambered for the ARC Nucleus likes the following

6.5 Creed Lapua, sized down to 6creed

CCI450’s

H4350, 40.4gr w/ Sierra 110 SMK- 3080fps, sub half moa. Only tested 12rds (4 loads of 3 shots) then shot a match with it. I managed several hits on a 2” wide piece of steel at 500yards, so I’m confident in the load.

H4350, 42.2, Berger 105 hybrid 15 thou off the lands (works great jammed too)- 3190fps, Shoots in the .3’s or better
