I sent them a message the other day asking when they where planing on releasing it. This is the response i received. Hi Jesse, We’re hard at work scaling production, shooting for end of April having a batch ready to go. We’d like to not do any type of preorder. Thanks for your interest and patience, Spencer Aly Aly and Kaufman LLC |

If your goal is to make a trailer park L85/SA80-ish rifle, then you probably need the 18.5" BRN180 upper. I think if you use the 16" upper you need to install a stock spacer that they show in a few of the prototype images to keep the OAL up to the right length. |

| nice, looks like a dedicated lower rather than a kit. too bad that top handguard section isn't removable. but i'm sure it would be simple enough to chop that off to make room for a thermal and a weapon light. i suppose you don't need the handguard at all. those BCM rail covers would probably look nice with the black version of the lower. |

The polymer foreend is just an attachment to make it look more like an L85. It uses a regular BRN-180 upper, so it has a top picatinny rail and then MLOK all the way around. |

Trigger is the best I've used on a bullpup. The KNS folding charging handle is really nice and keeps the gun much thinner in bags and cases. Not much handguard room on the 10.5 but thats just the nature of the beast, the larger trigger guard for your thumb and a KAC grip help a lot. https://i.imgur.com/2AZprnW.jpg https://i.imgur.com/GihrU1n.jpg https://i.imgur.com/NQ7q2Jw.jpg Kind of reminds me of a Groza |

Very cool. I'd be very interested in this with a 12" Grendel BBL. or a 16" I suppose. Any accuracy reports? |

Found this wooden training rifle online - would help get the details right if anyone was looking to make an accurate SA80 replica: Training Rifle |

Nice - I had forgotten they had some with carry handle sights vs a SUSAT scope. I recall a very small batch of SUSATs coming in some 2 decades ago and never in quantity like we saw when the the British SUIT scopes surplussed. Are there still many in storage in Great Britain or ?? |

I've seen the leak for the Gen 3/Mk III upper, and it appears as though it's left side only, non-reciprocating. There's a couple of fosscad designs for lowers that could accommodate it, but I'm a fan of all aluminum https://preview.redd.it/i-designed-a-psa-jakl-fm15-bullpup-lower-v0-bvtwemd8gqud1.jpg?width=6000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=073eb3d3baedb0747875748942d1d00c4440f52c @Space-Cadet It would be possible but require a bit of redesign on the front end, some things are a bit more difficult when you have to machine vs 3d print haha. The left side charging on gen3 BRN is a bit of a downer but 2.5 is still available for now, along with Fm15 and a few other options. |

Similar modularity as in an AR, the controls of an X95 or MDR without the accuracy shortcomings or reliability issues, and the ability to suppress it effectively. I would still keep manufacturing the current lower to allow for as close as possible SA80 as we can get in the states. Have y'all reached out to Brownells about possibly partnering for sales? It's seemingly a somewhat symbiotic relationship with the lower and the BRN-180 -- they might be able to produce a variant that's even closer (in aesthetics) to an L85A2 or A3. |

So to make the “feaux” SA80, I’ll need to snag a gen 2.5 Brn -180? |

I have not held a real SA80, but if they are 10-11 lbs as stated, then yes I would say this is lighter at the 8lb estimated weight i said. As I said befire, just a tough guesstimate on weight, I would recommend emailimg the guys who make it to ask the wreighy of the build they had on display at the MK booth, I would imagine they know or can check. The trigger had a crisp, metallic break to it. Kind of different, but nit bad. The reverse angle of the bottom of the trigger feels a little weird to me, but I understand why they did that with how the trigger bow has to swing in the space it is given.
