Hey everyone, first time posting. Anyone here have a rifle they have painted to blend in with the Appalachians? Looking for ideas.

I live right smack dab in the middle of the Smoky mtns, backed up the AT(trail). But these 2 are mostly Gunskins with a bit of hydrodip thrown in. Gunskins also makes several versions of Realtree-sh type patterns. Thats pretty hard to paint tho. 
I did paint this SL hand guard tho. Used a Primary Arms template. Worth every penny, compared to making your own.

I did some fast passes about 16"-18" for really-really fine speckles with the three colors. I used a large piece of cardboard with 3 different size holes for spotting some areas. |

Actually I'm on the east coast, just never got around to updating it. And thanks for the suggestion. I had already planned on using krylon camo and since the only store in the area had just three colors (khaki, olive, brown) that's what I ended up using.

I was considering krylon-ing my next ULW build, but I don't want to add unnecessary weight. So I think I'll spray my tax-deductible M4 clone instead once that's done.

Thinking about doing a camo paint job based in grey with white and black accents over that. I guess that describes Urban? Anyways what would I use for the Grey? Primer? I've not seen any flat grey at the stores?

Just for the hell of it. Nothing fancy just a good in the field spray paint job. I was thinking of using panty hose stretched under the Tango Down optic cover for a makeshift ARD since they don't make one that I know of for a H1/T1. Pretty pointless maybe since I don't have a can... Yet  .
