| Regarding Garand Thumb's video on the KS-3 and the KAC website, can anyone confirm if the KS line, including civilian versions, all use ARMAD aka 32CrMoV12-10 steel? |

I’d put money it would be the same steel. The chance of a non ARMAD barrel getting into the wrong box and going out to a contract rifle while small is still there. If I was KAC I would not take the chance of the mixup. Not worth jeopardizing a contract to make a few extra dollars. Daniel |

But if everyone is getting ARMAD barrels then I'd put KAC as very competitive in pricing for the civilian market. KS 1 through KS3 has it, but the website doesn’t specifically list it for the 16” KS-4. The SR25 K5 14.5” 308 model has it. The rest of the new SR-25 variants are listed as using 416R. I would like to see a 16” variant with this barrel, chrome lined, medium profile. |
