My Rare Breed trigger showed up, and I'm picking up my SP5 tomorrow. I'm having second thoughts. Am I about to take a very high quality/reliable firearm and introduce uncertainty/inferiority? Yes, it is a range toy, but am I diminishing the thing? Do I just need to buy a clone to play with the trigger and leave the HK whole? Thoughts? |

I’ve just put a few mags through it today…hot as hell outside. The OEM trigger pack has a slightly better selector movement, but semi feels about the same. The frt setting works great…I ran wwb and some sb subs. I ran both supressed and not suppressed. It shot great. FRT mode is awesome…out of ammo so fast.  I submitted my form 1 today. I’m looking forward to adding a stock when I’m able. |

I can't speak to the FRT. But I have an MP5 with a Franklin BFSIII trigger. It improved the semi trigger and in rest mode it still feels great. However, I dealt with your question by dropping it into a separate H&K MP5/SP5 SEF trigger housing so I have both. it wont run quite as fast as a select fire MP5, but it's still fun, and useful if for whatever reason you needed suppressive fire or the ability to score multiple hits in minimum time.
