We were exhibiting at NRAAM and were pretty much the only night vision centric company attending. No new news on the ACAL or civilian OGL. Believe you me, as soon as we have more info on the ACAL we will post it up here.

The most notable items we had on display that could be considered NEW:

- Leonardo CWTS (Coyote Thermal Weapon Sight)
- TN/MNVB-R which is a TNVC built system using the Nocturn Manticore-R housing

- We also had all of the L3Harris finished goods (BNVD-F, BNVD1531, BNVD/PVS-31A, GPNVG, CNVD-LR, M914A) and also every other goggle that we carry (Artemis, RNVG-A, RNVG, DTNVS, PVS-14, etc), most accessories (all of the lasers, mounts, and arms), and thermals (Armasight, N-Vision, Pulsar).

We were super busy so I didn't get a chance to visit every booth but I didn't see or hear of anything new & exciting that wasn't already known from SHOT 24.

Here's some info below sir. Price isn't determined yet but likely will be over $14k. Why so expensive? The Coyote is the commercial version of the FWS-I which is the companion for the ENVG III. It is designed as a clip on for use with the ACOG but also functions as a dedicated 1x scope for roles requiring a WFOV (wide field of view such as with an LMG) or handheld monocular. The Coyote, same as the FWS-I, is made to withstand harsh military environments. The Coyote operates silently and emits minimal heat and radio frequency (RF) energy, ideal for undetected use.

The Clip-On functionality eliminates the need for re-bore sighting as the day scope accuracy is undisturbed. The Coyote is a multi-use sight that will accommodate a variety of applications, including:

1. Clip-on mode: accuracy when used in line with day scope
2. Stand-alone mode: with the adjustable digital reticle this mode replaces a day scope
3. Handheld Mode – Can be removed from the gun for observations and reliably return to the zero position when mounted on a standard picatinny rail.

As will mentioned, the CWTS is a commercialized version of the Army’s AN/PAS-35 FWS-I, designed to interface with the ENVG-family of goggles, though sadly the CWTS removes the remote bluetooth networking features and the “shoot around corners” capabilities, though it could be argued that this point is moot, as none of the ENVG-family has been approved for commercial sales as of yet, though we’ll keep plugging away (for “program” systems developed under military requirements, and often with the injection of military funding, the military program offices must approve commercial release and resale, even if the technology itself is not “legally restricted” from civilian ownership, which is why systems like the AN/PVS-31A and GPNVG took so long and years of work and negotiating with the program offices to have them released for unrestricted, “above board,” i.e., not gray market, commercial sales).

That being said, [b]if[/i] a commercialized variant of the ENVG-B were to ever be released, it would most likely be the BNVD-FUSED (F-BINO) or Elbit FBNVG which already remove the specific RTA and networking features to use with the FWS-I, as the FWS-I and RTA ecosystem is Big Army-only at this time, and the government tends to be somewhat reluctant to release “full capability” networked systems, especially wireless ones, to the commercial market, though even that is slowly changing, e.g., systems like the Envision MARS and MARS-Lc, which were developed in close cooperation with the military and with IRAD funding.

Ironically, in some cases, especially now that they’ve seen after the GPNVG release that it’s “no big deal,” (though, not to dig up a dead horse, the whole “APNVG” thing did somewhat put that in question / in jeopardy, which is part of why you saw some… movement from some folks all of the sudden who had been enthusiastically behind certain products quietly and suddenly back off from them) SOCOM is often a little more willing to allow their advanced products to be sold commercially (it also helps them as it’s much easier to justify “COTS” funding to not necessarily “go around,” but to “ease” the procurement and funding approval process) than the “Big Army” program offices.
