Should have bought a Vector V53 or CA53 10-12 years ago, they are hard to find even on the used market, I have a CA SP10 (MP5/UMP) that has been awesome, bought it for $600.  Looking for a HK53 clone, AR/Stanag mags is a bonus.  Looks like the only new 53's being made now are $3,500-$4,500.

Really wish some of the clone companies would get back on the 53 train.

There hasn't been a good seed source of parts to promote wider interest in the 5.56/HK33/93 sized guns since the Malaysian kit days.

Not as many imported clones have come in - The thread regarding 93/91 guns being imported from Turkey is getting stale and the administration is not import friendly or timely with gun evaluation approvals = long lead time and investment for any US import firearm endeavors.

Vector v53’s are pushing 3 grand plus and the century clones aren’t too far behind.

I’ve got a Vector 53 and a Century 93 that I’ve done nothing with since I bought them. I did have plans for them as a sear host but then I got a TPM 53 and a Parabellum Combat Systems 53 that I’ve been using instead.  If you have an itch for a 53 that needs scratching hit me up.

I think the best current option is PCS53. They are costly though. I believe they are around $3k.

I bought a Coharie CA53AR when they were selling them new. Had some issues but most were sorted out with a different locking piece. I did send it to IGF when they were still around, had him tighten up the magwell, install a paddle mag release, short 53 flash hider, engrave SBR info, and and refinish.

It's a cool gun and works great. Uses AR mags is nice. Around the time I bought the gun I bought another receiver, and Malaysian parts kit so I could build another. My plan bounced around between a 33, 53k 300blk, or 300blk set up like an SD. I ended up selling the kit and receiver. A friend also bought a receiver and kit and had Guillybear (spelling?) build him a 53. It turned out really nice.

There is another website that is HK specific that has a CA53 AR and a PCS built 53 clone built with a SW AR receiver and HK53 parts, if you are interested.

All of my 5.56X45 roller delayed guns are made with SW53 AR and SW93 AR receivers. I love that all of my 5.56X45 machine guns all use AR mags. I have five different 9mm mag systems for my machine guns. I find that a PITA.
